My grandfather when he was a stationmaster, found on the internet
No. 165 The story I'm introducing this time
My husband's grandfather was apparently a stationmaster for the old Japanese National Railways, but he retired when my husband was small, so he has no memory of seeing him at work.
The story I am introducing this time is a post from a woman who was overjoyed to find a photo on the internet of her husband's grandfather, who was a stationmaster for the old Japanese National Railways.
Regarding the posting date,
summary site I confirmed the post from July 27, 2015, from a copy-paste; I apologize if this is incorrect.
There was a YouTube video based on this story, so I will introduce that as well.

I came here to write because I wanted someone to hear this story!
The other day, I was talking with my husband and the topic of his grandfather came up.
He worked for the old Japanese National Railways and was a stationmaster.
Since he retired when my husband was small,
he said he has no memory of seeing him at work.
My husband said he would have liked to see him working.
So, I had an idea.
People who are railway fans often take photos,
↓
when they take pictures of stations or train scenery,
sometimes station staff end up in the frame, right?
The uniform of a stationmaster from the old Japanese National Railways is picturesque,
so maybe they even intentionally included them in the frame.
Back in the day, portrait rights were probably more relaxed...
Could there be a chance that he remains in such railway photos?
So, I searched. I narrowed it down by the lines and stations he worked at and the years.
I did it with the feeling that it would be amazing if by some chance I found something.
And then, I really found it!
A photo of a stationmaster standing on a station platform.
The year it was taken, the station name in the background,
and above all, the moment my husband saw the photo,
he said, "That's Grandpa!!"
I discovered it on the homepage of an elderly person
who has railway photography as a hobby,
so when I contacted that person and asked about it,
they kindly offered to make a print for me.
Someone happened to take a photo of my husband's grandfather,
that person made a homepage,
uploaded that old photo from 30 years ago to that homepage,
and I found it in the vast sea of the internet.
I was trembling with excitement,
thinking that such a miracle could actually happen.

There was a video made based on this story, so I will introduce a part of it.
*It seems there are other videos besides the one I am introducing.
