It's delicious, it's warm
No. 616 The story introduced this time
Here, we feature tear-jerking stories that have become topics on the internet or in the news, along with videos uploaded to YouTube and other platforms, as "stories so good they bring tears to your eyes."
The story introduced this time is a post from a man who says his older brother and his wife dumped their daughter on them and moved away, and he raised that daughter as his own.
Regarding the posting date,
sourceI confirmed the post from January 29, 2013, based on what is published there, but I apologize if it is incorrect.
There was a YouTube video based on this story, so I will introduce it as well.
Post content
I will post it including the responses.
The man's post parts are in bold.

My brother's family came to our house, dumped their eldest daughter on us, and moved away.
My brother and his wife seemed to live only for their son.
Their son was truly brilliant.
He could memorize everything just by reading the textbook.
He was also good at sports and seemed to be popular.
They judged the eldest daughter to be less capable than their son, so they apparently left her mostly neglected.
She was in elementary school at the time, but she was so thin and small I thought she was in kindergarten.
It seemed they only let her take a bath once a month, so she was naturally dirty.
When I gave her a bath, my wife, who was bathing with her, started crying.
She said, "She cried just because I washed her hair, saying 'Thank you.' She cried saying, 'It's a warm bath.'"
When we served her food, she would say, "It's delicious, it's warm."
I thought this was enough, so I told my brother, and he said, "If you give me 1 million yen, you can have her."
My wife got angry, saying, "...1 million yen. What do you think a child is!"
I went beyond anger and felt nothing but amazement.
I realized this was the kind of person my brother was.
The next day, when I withdrew 1 million yen from my savings and handed it to my wife, she said, "Actually, I did too," and she had also prepared 1 million yen.
We handed 2 million yen to my brother and said, "Now she's our child!"
It felt like we had bought a child with money, and I had an indescribable feeling at that time.
We were only 22 years old then.
The neighbors were surprised by the sudden child, but they were all kind people, so they helped us in many ways.

When the eldest daughter was 12, our second daughter was born.
There was anxiety, but the eldest daughter cherished the second daughter a lot.
Thanks to that, the second daughter grew up to be a sister-loving child.
Yesterday was my birthday, and she gave me a handmade cigarette case, saying, "Happy birthday, Dad."
This was also quite elaborate.
It's made of wood and leather, and it's extremely comfortable to use.
It says "Don't smoke too much," but...
The eldest daughter has become a child who is incomparably brighter than when we took her in.
She has many friends and they often come over to play.
She is good at studying, maybe she takes after my wife instead of me.
On the other hand, the second daughter is a bit of an airhead, but she has friends, so as long as she's healthy, that's fine.
She'll wake up eventually...
Thinking that both of them will grow up, get married, and leave the house makes me feel a bit lonely lol
I'm writing this because I received a New Year's card from my brother for the first time in a while and remembered the old days.
It says things like, "My son got into Todai. We are a happy family."
But our family is a much happier and warmer home.
I just really wanted to write this. Sorry for the long post.

Whether my brother's kid gets into Todai or whatever, I imagine >>803's family is happier!
Be happy!

To give up one child and then say 'we are a happy family'
It makes me so angry I don't know what to do.
803 has a better child and wife, that's a truly happy family!

Thanks for crying for me lol
I was just frowning when I looked at the postcard.
Besides, we had no contact at all.
I hadn't been in touch since I took in my eldest daughter, and I didn't even know where my brother and his family were or what they were doing.
It seems they got our address from my uncle.
My eldest daughter said, 'It's complicated, they are the ones who gave birth to me, but... so the person who was my older brother is going to Todai, huh. He was smart, wasn't he. But my parents are Dad and Mom. My only sister is ○○.'
I'm not telling anyone that I almost cried.

Just go ahead and cry like a man lol
It's great that she grew up to be such a good girl

If you compare your family to theirs, you'll end up on the same level as them, so stop it
Your family is happy

'The person who *was* my older brother'
I feel like all of my eldest daughter's feelings are summed up in that statement.
And I've cast a curse that her 'father' will bawl his eyes out at her wedding lol

>>813
I'll have 802 write that down, and I'll cast a curse that 813 will also bawl his eyes out.
If you curse someone, dig two graves; it looks like I'm going to end up bawling my eyes out too.
>>802 Be happy with your whole family.

You're right, I'll be careful
But, I have a question, have the Todai acceptance results even been released yet?
Maybe their results on the Center Test were good?
I pray that my nephew grows up to be a kind and good person.
At the very least, I hope he doesn't take after my brother...
That's also a petty thing to say, though

The opposite of love is not hate, but indifference
Just leave it alone. It has nothing to do with 802's family.
