No. 961 The story introduced this time
Here, we feature tear-jerking stories that have become topics on the internet or in the news, along with videos uploaded to platforms like YouTube, as "stories so good they bring tears to your eyes."
This time, we are introducing a post by a woman who wrote about her twin sister who passed away from cancer.
There was a video based on this story, so I will introduce it as well.

Content of the post
I have a twin sister.
Her name is Ayaka.
We look so much alike that even our parents sometimes mistake us for each other.
But our personalities are completely different; Ayaka has always been very active and cheerful.
She was always positive and loved to exercise.
On the other hand, I am negative and not very fond of moving my body.
But as long as I was with Ayaka, going anywhere and doing anything was so much fun.
Ayaka did judo in junior high and high school, played basketball in vocational school, and started boxing after she became a working adult.
She was like the sun, the kind of child around whom many people would always gather because she was always energetic and bright.
I always admired her for that.
Then, a certain illness struck her.
It was breast cancer.
By the time it was discovered, it was already in the terminal stage, and she was given one month to live.
Ayaka, who loved sports and was always full of energy, why her?
My mind was filled with that thought.
It was painful and sad, and I couldn't stop crying every single day.
But Ayaka said,
"We still have a month left. What should we do in the next month? Why don't we go on a trip somewhere? It's a waste of time to be moping around!"
Saying that, she took out her phone and started looking up places to stay and flight tickets.
Surprised by her incredible positivity, I started planning the trip with her until morning.
Since Ayaka, who should be suffering the most, was trying so hard to be positive, I decided in my heart that I would help her make as many happy memories as possible until the very end!
The one month of life expectancy passed in the blink of an eye, and our goal naturally shifted from making final memories to overcoming the cancer.
We went to many places Ayaka wanted to visit, from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south.
Seeing Ayaka's smile every day, I really started to think that maybe the cancer would just disappear.
But reality was not that kind.
Just when we thought she was on the road to recovery, her condition suddenly worsened, and she had to be hospitalized.
I was crying every day again. What would I do if Ayaka were to leave me like this?
That was all I could think about.
Then Ayaka said,
"Hey, we're identical twins, so I know. If you're crying, it's the same as me crying. If you're smiling, it's the same as me smiling."
"So, promise me. Let's keep smiling until the very end. Let's show everyone the smiles of Ayaka and her big sister."
From that day on, I sealed away my tears. We promised each other that we would always stay smiling for Ayaka's sake and for the sake of those who were supporting her.
That was the last promise we made to each other.
Ayaka passed away at the young age of 29.
Even though I promised to always keep smiling, I cannot stop the tears when I think of Ayaka.
When I look up at the sky, I can still hear Ayaka's voice scolding me, saying, "Big sister! Keep smiling!"
Looking at the many photos from the trips we took together, I am always reminded of Ayaka's smile.
Smiling until the very end, and forevermore.
