[Experience Report] I got VIO hair removal at Yotsubakai Clinic Shinjuku Branch
A certain day in July 2025.
I went for VIO hair removal for the first time in a while.
Since my last session at Nishi-Shinjuku Dermatology in January,
I had been told, "Come back in July," so
I've been holding out... (I did well to endure it, me)
This time it was at Yotsubakai Clinic Shinjuku Branch.
I had experience with facial hair removal at the Yurakucho branch, but
this was my first time at the Shinjuku branch.
Flow of the day
13:07 Reception
Since it was my first time at this branch, I signed a consent form.
I needed to present identification, but
I forgot both my health insurance card and my My Number card...
My driver's license was fine this time, but
I was warned that if I forget it next time, I might not be able to get the treatment

13:32 Medical interview
I had assumed that "a consultation is mandatory for the first session of each area"
when I booked, but since I had experience with facial hair removal,
this time
I didn't need a medical interview with a doctor.(Of course, I could have had one if I wanted)
13:44 Treatment startsI took off my underwear behind the curtain in the treatment room,
first lying on my back for the V and I lines ->
then lying face down for the O line.
I thought VIO hair removal would be "painful enough to rip your crotch off"
but...
It didn't hurt at all!!! lolIt felt like the laser was hitting me with a "whoosh!"
along with a cold breeze, and
it was so easy it was anticlimactic.
They checked "Is the pain okay?" at one spot on the V area first,
and
it wasn't like the torture-like treatment in Nishi-Shinjuku soplease rest assured.
(Though they did check in Nishi-Shinjuku too, just in case)
13:50 FinishedSince this was my first time, the output was set to the minimum.
If there's no redness or pain,
I can increase the output from next time onwards.
They finished by applying Linderm ointment.
13:56 PaymentSince it was my first time getting treatment at the Shinjuku branch,
it was 4,620 yen with a 40% discount!
It's so cheap I'm actually worried...
I have nothing but gratitude!
The treatment finished in about 30 minutes.
Maybe because it was a weekday, it was empty and
the time performance was excellent.
Progress so far and future plans
When I had the treatment in Nishi-Shinjuku in January,
after a while, some fine hair grew back and I thought, "Oh, it's working!" but
before I knew it, it was back to normal 🌳 lol
The reason I chose Yotsubakai this time is because
I saw reviews saying "I got smooth after 6-10 sessions with GentleMax Pro"
.
I could book on the day, and since it was a weekday, there were openings.
I arrived 20 minutes before my appointment, but
they were kind enough to let me wait inside, which I appreciated~.
Next time is scheduled for 6 weeks later, in mid-August.I'll go again!
