1,000 people... wait, really? One month since starting on March 12, 2026, and I'm filled with gratitude.
Good morning! This is my 13th note.
I'm a "growth geek" whose daily routine is reading through research papers 👏
Please bear with me for a moment while I share some of my personal "data."
......Um, actually, something unbelievable is happening!
Believe it or not, I've surpassed 1,000 followers!
I'll be honest.
At first, I thought,
"Is my phone broken?"
or
"Did everyone just accidentally click follow?" (laughs)
I reloaded the page three times.
Even after I brewed coffee twice just to be sure and came back
The number "1,000" was still firmly on the screen
It seems this is reality, not a simulation
I started note on March 12, and it's only been one month
That so many of you thought my slightly geeky posts about
"Growing easily with papers and data!"
were "pretty good!"
*Whether you actually thought they were "pretty good!" or not... that's up to you to believe or not (lol)
This is nothing short of a miracle, isn't it!
Thank you so, so much!
To all my "research peers" who supported me while I was wandering
I am not a professional writer.
It is only natural that my grammar and particles get lost sometimes,
and I often have so much I want to convey that my thoughts get stuck in a traffic jam like a train during rush hour (lol).
Even so, the reason I have been able to keep going until today is undoubtedly because of all of you who read my work!
To everyone who gives my articles a 'like',
That single tap of your finger
activates my 'brain reward system' (the mechanism where dopamine is released and I feel 'I did it!')
more than you can imagine!
I would almost like to measure my brain waves, turn them into a graph, and present them to you all.
To everyone who quietly follows me and waits for updates,
Your anticipation (or should I say pressure?)
of 'what kind of topic will you bring next?'
has boosted my speed for reading research papers to about 1.5 times my usual pace!
To everyone who leaves warm comments
I think of you more as "fellow researchers" than just "readers" now!
If the day ever comes when I present my life's work
I feel like I'd want to list all of your names as collaborators
Each and every one of these reactions has become my greatest "reason to keep going"
There's even a slightly mysterious "analysis result"... (laughs)
Thankfully
Lately, I've been receiving "likes" from so many people
Every time I get a notification, I think, "Yes, it reached someone today!"
And I quietly pump my fist in the air in my room
...However, there is one "interesting phenomenon" happening here (laughs)
Even though you all so warmly press the 'Like' button,
I feel like everyone makes a surprisingly sharp 'U-turn' the moment they reach the door to a paid article!
That 'Oh, it's paid from here on, got it!' attitude
that professional-like way of bowing out
At first, I thought, 'Huh? (laughs)' but
now I find that endearing as well.
After all, the fact that you read far enough to hit the paywall
is proof that you are spending your time on me.
I'm sure you all are thinking, 'I've learned a lot for free up to this point! Thanks!'
as a positive sign
and are gently closing the door.
......or at least, that's my own positive interpretation (laughs).
But really,
every single 'Like' on the free portion
becomes the energy for me to read through the next research paper.
So that one day I can write an article
that you'll all be convinced is 'worth buying!'
I will keep working hard in my own gritty way.
By the way, here is the reason for the 300 yen paid article↓↓↓ It's nothing special (lol)
In particular, the 'two gifts' that are deeply etched in my heart
Even amidst all that
There are two things I'm grateful for that turned my activities from a 'hobby' into a 'mission'
*Is 'mission' too strong?? No, but I was so happy!
One is
those who comment multiple times on a single article
Not only on new articles,
but sometimes you even go back and read previous articles to share your thoughts.
Every time I see that name, my heart warms, thinking, 'Oh, my words have stayed in someone's heart.'
The time I spend alone in front of my PC turns into time spent thinking together with all of you.
It's the best moment★
The other is
those who send messages along with support (tips) saying,
'I'm rooting for you' or 'I'll make it a casual prompt'
While battling English research papers late at night,
there are times when I feel weak and wonder, "Is this really useful...?"
At times like that, when I remember your words,
the fog in my brain clears up instantly, and I can push myself to say,
"Alright, let's read one more paper before I go to sleep!" (*・ω・)(*-ω-)(*・ω・)(*-ω-)Yup♪
Your support is the most reliable source of power in the world to me!!!
I will continue to find the shortest route that doesn't rely on "guts"
The number of 1,000 followers is not the goal.
*The one everyone always says
I've always wanted to say that once (lol). A dream come true lol
I think this is finally the starting line for an "experiment" we can all enjoy together.
My stance will not change from here on out.
"A cheat sheet of research papers to live a little easier and more reliably, based on evidence rather than grit" will be
delivered to you in a way that is easy to understand and sometimes makes you chuckle.
It would be wonderful if we could all grow smartly by having proven, accurate information on our side!
To all 1,000 of you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I look forward to your continued support!
*Currently 1,040 people
Well then, see you in the next installment of the "Useless Human Thesis Series"!
Expectations, No, Absolutely Not👍
Thank you for reading.
