Midnight Merry-Go-Round

Sometimes
I have nights
when I cannot sleep.

On such nights,
I take a short walk
through the park.

In the park at night,
occasionally,
the stars
come to play.

On nights when the stars are there,
of course,
the horses are there too.

The horses
are happily
running
round and round
in the park.

One horse
stopped
in front of me.

It has a look
that says, "You can ride me."

I
let the horse
carry me on its back.

The horse carrying me
begins to go
slowly
round and round
through the park.

The other horses
also
run slowly
along with me.

The stars, too,
shining brightly,
will come along
with me.

The horses,
and the stars,
everyone
is so cute.

So now,
I am not lonely anymore.

Other people
probably
don't know much about

the midnight merry-go-round.

It's a secret.
