Calico Cat Triple Axel, Weekly Short-Short Note
My mother brought home a calico cat that had gotten quite fat.
While watching TV, I said,
"If you're a cat, try doing a triple axel or something."
The cat turned its head away with a huff and walked off.
"Don't say such mean things. She's prone to weight gain because she's been spayed."
"So she was a girl."
"She's a calico, so you should know she's a girl. You're as dense as ever."
I learned for the first time that calico cats are female.
The next day, an incident occurred in the garden.
The calico cat was holding one of a crow's wings in its mouth. The crow was struggling to get away.
Just then, a black stray cat arrived and grabbed the other wing.
Then, a tug-of-war began. Two cats pulling at the crow. The crow struggling in the middle.
That was when it happened.
The calico cat gave the crow a sharp tug and winked. The crow's wing slipped right out of the black cat's mouth. Then, with the crow still in its mouth, the calico cat dashed away at full speed.
That cat—I only meant it as a joke, but she actually pulled it off.
She pulled (tori) the bird (tori) and dashed (axle) away. And to think she used her feminine charm to catch the black cat off guard.toripullaxle

This wasn't a short-short, but rather a little anecdote, wasn't it.
