Self-Introduction: Is It Surprisingly Easy? The First Step Toward Reaching 100 Likes
Thank you all, as always!
I just started on note and had '0 followers.' Even from that state, it is entirely possible to exceed '100 likes' on your very first article. This is a proven fact based on my own personal experience.
The first step is a 'self-introduction'
So, what is that first step?
It is, quite simply, to write a self-introduction.
As I mentioned in a previous article, a self-introduction article is extremely powerful. It doesn't just tell people who you are;it also serves as a catalyst for warm interactions and helps you build a base of 'regulars' who will read your articles consistently.
There is no rule saying you can only write a self-introduction once, so even if you have been on note for weeks or months, I think it is a great idea to write a new one togain new regulars.
Two concrete actions
As preparation for aiming for 100 likes, let's start by working on the following two points.
Review your profile and icon
Write a self-introduction article
Getting these two things in order is the starting line for everything.
Using AI is 'okay'! Lower the hurdle for beginners
I want to emphasize one thing strongly here.
Whether it's reviewing your profile or writing a self-introduction article, using the power of AI is absolutely 'okay'.
Recently, some people have been critical, saying, 'There are so many articles written by AI, and the writing has become dry.' However, I am a big proponent of AI.
This is because not everyone can smoothly put their inner passions into words just like I can. It is a huge waste to stumble at the stage of organizing your thoughts and miss the opportunity to share your message.
By receiving support from AI, the hurdle for note beginners definitely drops. In an era where AI has become so commonplace, choosing to 'not use it' might actually be going against the times.
What should you write in your self-introduction?
When you go to write your self-introduction, you might worry, 'How much private information should I reveal?'
But please rest assured. You don't need to force yourself to expose detailed personal information. Instead, the biggest tip is to focus on 'what kind of content you will be sharing on this note going forward.' Aim for content that makes readers excited, wondering, 'What kind of articles will this person show me next?'
💡 A quick tip for posting: Add hashtags!
When you've finished writing your article and reach the 'Ready to post!' screen, don't forget to add hashtags (#).
In addition to the '#SelfIntroduction' tag, be sure to include hashtags related to the themes you plan to post about in the future (e.g., '#Novel', '#Essay', '#Diary', etc.). Just doing this makes it easier for readers with similar interests to find you.
Aim for 'Trending' and expand your circle of greetings
Once your self-introduction article is complete and published, your top priority is to aim to be picked up in the 'Trending' section we discussed the other day.
And here is an even more important step.
From the '10,000 People Can Do It' magazine that I participate in, let's jump over to various creators' articles and go deliver 'greeting likes'! Of course, please feel free to actively follow those you are interested in.
The right way to give a 'Hello Like'
I have one very important request here.
It is absolutely not okay to 'just press Like without reading the content of the article.'
If you press Likes too suddenly or click them mechanically, the note system might get surprised, and your Like function itself could be restricted.
There is absolutely no need to rush.
Take your time to look at the other person's profile, and read through articles that you find 'interesting' or 'compelling' at your own pace. Then, press the Like button with the feeling of saying, 'Nice to meet you, hello,' in your heart.
This is what a 'greeting like' truly means.
It's fine to go at your own comfortable pace, so once you post, let's spread as many 'hellos' as you can!
Enjoying writing, and 'reading'
As you visit various people's articles to deliver your 'greeting likes,' you will surely notice something.
That is, enjoying the world of note isn't just about 'writing.'
Encountering new values by touching the words someone has spun, or feeling your heart warm up after reading a wonderful story. A rich sea where you can fully enjoy the act of 'reading' is spread out across note.
The joy of expressing your own thoughts and delivering them to someone (writing).
And the joy of being moved by reading someone's wonderful article (reading).
To truly enjoy both 'writing' and 'reading' from the heart.
I believe that is the biggest secret to continuing with note for a long time and enjoying it without running out of steam.
Start with the first step of a self-introduction. And with encountering wonderful articles.
Let's fully enjoy your own unique note life!
