[Essay] My Delightful Friends

I have many friends (stuffed animals) in my room.

I have always loved cute things, and every time my parents bought me a stuffed animal, I would give it a name and cherish it.

The other day, a close friend gave me a gift, even though it wasn't my birthday.

Here it is.

A handmade sheep stuffed animal! How cute...!

I named this little one "Kedama" (fuzzball). Because it's made of yarn and its body is perfectly round.

The friend who made this for me has recently gotten into knitting, and since they know I love sheep, they gave it to me as a gift.

I have never been good at knitting; whenever I struggled with yarn, I would get confused about what to do, and in the end, I would always have my mother do it for me.

However, I do want to be able to knit someday, so I plan to try making a companion for Kedama this winter. (That is, if I have the time...)

I want to take Kedama with me to all sorts of places from now on.
