When I saw that number, I couldn't help but look at the screen again.
Even though I post every day,
I thought, 'The product has only been viewed twice...'
'Maybe this really isn't for me...'
That's how I felt.

In my last article, I wrote about losing my Threads account and my May results for Rakuten ROOM.
To be honest, I was feeling a bit tired back then 😂
I felt like I was trying my best, but I wasn't getting the results I wanted.
That's because days like that kept continuing.
But,
I haven't given up on my goal of 10,000 yen per month.
It's still just the beginning, and I decided to try even harder.

June, the Rakuten Super Sale begins (6/4 (Thu) - 6/11 (Thu)).
It is a major sale held four times a year.
The products I wanted became cheaper.
The points increased, too.
It's a happy time for buyers as well.
That's why I thought,
"Now is the time to take action."
And so I did.
I didn't do anything special.
First, I looked for products.
Things I wanted for myself.
Things I actually used and liked.
Things I would recommend to my family.
While choosing such products, I also became a bit more conscious of my posting times.
Morning.
Noon.
Night.
Posting at times when it's easier for people to see.
That's all I did.
✦ The way my followers view things has also changed
There is one other thing I changed.
Looking for followers.
Before,
I think I had a strong desire to be seen by many people.
But this time it was different.
I read their profiles,
and I only followed people who I felt,
I might get along with.
People who like cosmetics.
People who are working hard at raising children.
People of the same generation.
I have grandchildren, so I also like looking at posts from young moms💕
There is a real person on the other side of the screen.
I made sure not to forget that.

The number of clicks was 2.
June 2nd.
The number of clicks was 4.
I was surprised.
Honestly,
it hasn't changed much.
"Maybe it's just not meant to be."
I had those feelings too.
But,
the next morning
16 clicks.
I did a double-take.
Only 16
Some people might think that.
But for me, it was different.
"Someone is actually watching."
That there are people who are interested in the product
Because that was the proof.
✦ What made me happier than the numbers
Since I started Rakuten ROOM,
the way I shop has changed little by little.
Before,
I used to buy things as soon as I wanted them.
That was how it felt.
But it's different now.
I've started thinking,
I'll wait for the sale.
In fact,
there have been times when an item I bought on a follower's recommendation
went on sale for less later on,
and I thought, 'I should have waited a little longer!' 😅
So lately,
I put the things I want in my cart and wait.
Then I buy them when the sale starts.
That's how I enjoy shopping now.
I've also come to love the time spent looking at my followers' ROOMs,
thinking, 'Maybe I'll buy this next.'
✦ What 2 clicks taught me
I am not a success story yet.
I haven't even reached my goal of 10,000 yen a month.
I am still working towards it.
Every little step counts.
I don't have any major achievements.
But,
this experience taught me one thing.
If I just keep doing the same things as yesterday,
the view won't change.
Try something a little different.
Try moving a little bit.
Even just doing that,
the numbers can change.
And,
when the numbers change, my feelings change too.
When my feelings change,
I can move forward again.
That is what I was taught.
When you reach your 50s,
it takes courage just to start something new.
When you don't see results,
you inevitably feel down.
But for me,
the reasons to keep going,
have slightly outnumbered the reasons to give up.🌸
So tomorrow,
I think I'll try posting again.
