Creative Awards Essay Category: Life from the Perspective of Nutrition and Sleep, Part 2
To organize is to rebuild.
Before we know it, we start using "how hard we work" as our only standard.
How much we moved.
How much we achieved.
How much we endured.
But in truth, there is one more important thing before all that.
I believe that is "whether or not we are in balance."
The body is honest.
Even on days when we push ourselves a little, if we have enough nutrition, we can somehow keep going.
Even if our hearts are a little tired, the day after a night of good sleep, we can look forward just a little bit.
Conversely, no matter how positive our mindset is,
if we haven't eaten or haven't slept,
we can collapse more easily than we think.
People operate based on their state of being before their willpower.
That is why rebuilding always starts from the small things.
Drinking a warm beverage.
Lying down, even just for a little while.
Putting down your phone and closing your eyes.
Sometimes, that is all you need.
Even on days when you feel like you "couldn't do anything,"
recovery is actually progressing steadily within your body.
Even if it looks like you are standing still,
you are organizing yourself in ways that cannot be seen.
I believe that is not slacking off,
but rather being in the middle of returning to yourself.
Working hard is important, but
you cannot keep working hard forever.
So sometimes, rather than adding more things,
it becomes necessary to start by subtracting.
Reduce information.
Reduce plans.
Reduce thoughts.
And in the end, what remains is probably something very simple.
Eat properly.
Sleep properly.
Find a little peace of mind.
With just that, tomorrow will become a little easier to navigate again.
Life is something you build up, but
I think it is just as much something you 'realign'.
