What does it mean to be excellent?

"You are excellent, so you'll be fine."

What, I wonder, does it mean to be excellent?

....

"That person is excellent."

I sometimes hear words like that.

Lawyers, doctors, certified public accountants, tax accountants.

When we see people in professions that require advanced specialized knowledge and are socially respected, it is easy to get the impression that they are "capable people."

Certainly, there are many wonderful people who excel at both academics and sports.

However,

Someone might be excellent at their job but struggle with cooking or laundry.

They might be supported by a housekeeper or their spouse.

Conversely, there are people who are good at housework or raising children but feel insecure about their work.

Everyone has different strengths and different weaknesses.

I don't think there is anyone in the world who can do everything perfectly.

Develop your strengths and get help from others for your weaknesses.

That is how society functions.

A newborn baby grows up with the help of many people.

And as we grow older, there are times when we need someone's support once again.

When we think about a human life, perhaps there is no such thing as living perfectly on one's own.

Even excellent people live their lives with the help of others.

That is why I have doubts about people who vent their frustrations on others, harass them, or hurt them. One day, they might need that person's help.

I want to cherish the joy of being able to spend time with the person right in front of me.

Life is limited.

Whether young or old, there is no guarantee that we will definitely meet again tomorrow.

That is why, rather than dividing people into those who can and those who cannot,

I want to look at them as beings who support each other.

Even if you are the one helping today, you might be the one being helped tomorrow.

I believe that is what it means to be human.

If we remember that, can't we accept others a little more, even during small arguments or misunderstandings?

What is excellence?

Social recognition is also a valuable and wonderful assessment.

However,

I feel that excellence as a human being

is about whether or not we can draw close to each other and support one another.

What is

true excellence?
