Until Pregnancy🪽✨
Today I am going to talk about the approximately five years I spent trying to conceive.
I discovered I was pregnant in my seventh year of marriage.
We held our wedding one year after registering our marriage,
bought our own home six months later,
and went on our honeymoon six months after that.
Just when we thought it was time to start thinking about having children,
the pandemic hit,
work became busy,
and we found it difficult to conceive.
Since I worked in medical administration,
I think I am quite knowledgeable about fertility treatment.
However,
I am not a very dexterous person,
so I was worried about whether my mental health could keep up
if I underwent fertility treatment while working such a busy job,
and I couldn't take that first step.
My husband felt that it would be nice if it happened,
so I am glad he felt that way rather than us both feeling down together.
Two or three years passed,
my mental state gradually declined,
and there were times when I couldn't even be bothered to go out.
In my sixth year of marriage
(my fourth year of trying to conceive),
I realized I couldn't go on like this,
so I went to a hospital
and had fertility tests done.
The hysterosalpingography
was incredibly painful, haha.
There were no particular abnormalities.
I told my husband that even if he had tests and there were no issues,
I still wanted to pursue fertility treatment.
However,
my husband, who dislikes hospitals, wouldn't go,
insisting that he was fine.
I worried a lot about
what would happen if I couldn't meet our child.
And so, I
decided to change jobs.
Because I was in a position like a team leader,
I thought that stress might be the cause.
I had about 40 days of paid leave,
and although I already had a dog,
I decided to take care of another one while using up my paid leave,
so I started keeping another dog as well.
After welcoming the new dog,
one week before starting my new job,
I noticed my period hadn't come,
and when I took a test, it was positive.
The moment I saw two lines appear
I cried tears of joy
By the way
when I told my new employer right away
they said they would still hire me...
I felt a sense of guilt...
and I am truly grateful
It's not exactly giving up
but the idea that you conceive once you take a step back from trying to get pregnant
is actually true
For those who want children
but are worried about...
their work
We are all in this together!
Please take care of yourself first and foremost!
To those who are trying to conceive
you might think that hearing stories from people who eventually got pregnant...
doesn't help
but I would be happy if this article
makes you feel even a little bit better
Thank you for reading
until the end
