[Tufti Refugee Reading Diary ②] Cultivating the Eye to See Through Illusions: The True Nature of the "Front Screen" and "Back Screen" That Move Reality
"Reality is nothing more than images projected onto a screen."
"You are inside a movie. But that film can be rewritten."──
Tufti declares.
Today, I will summarize the "eye to see through illusions" that she teaches.
At first, I was in a "what is this?" state, but as I compared it to my real life little by little, it surprisingly started to make sense.
To all Tufti refugees, let's start our "escape training" together.
Cultivating the eye to see through illusions ── Tufti's awakening theory
We unconsciously react to the "reality" that unfolds before our eyes every day.
But Tufti cuts right through it, saying, "That is nothing but an illusion."
The illusion referred to here is the "events projected before your eyes."
News on social media, other people's emotions, sudden troubles ──
They are all
"just the film you played in the past being projected onto the screen".
In other words,
you think you are reacting to reality, but in fact, you are being swayed by the illusions you are projecting yourself
.
So, how can you stand on the "side that moves" reality without being swallowed by illusions?
The key is to be conscious of the "front screen" and "back screen".
"What is the 'front screen'?" ── The true nature of the power that moves reality
The "front screen" that Tufti teaches is the reality you are seeing right in front of you at this very moment.
For example ──
・Smartphone screen
・Scenery of the room
・The expressions of the people in front of you
These are the "front screen."
We usually keep our consciousness glued to this "front screen."
But Tufti says, "What is projected on that screen is a projection of the past."
This is important.
As long as you continue to react while believing that what is projected on the front screen is "reality," we are forever trapped on the "reacting side."
To move reality, you need to "pull back" your consciousness once.
Pull your consciousness away from the screen and turn your eyes to the "projection device" behind it ──
That is the "back screen" that comes up next.
"The 'back screen'" = The command center of reality creation
So, what is the "back screen"?
This is "the 'creative space' where you release your intentions".
The reality projected on the future "front screen" is determined by what kind of images (intentions) you project here.
Usually, we forget the existence of this "back screen."
We live completely swallowed by the "front screen."
However, Tufti teaches us.
"The film you project onto the back screen is what will become your future reality."
By consciously accessing this "back screen" and projecting your intentions into it,
the reality right in front of you (the front screen) begins to change little by little.
The "power to move reality" is precisely the ability to master this back screen.
I actually tried it out
I lost my smartphone the other day. (I eventually found it, though.)
At that moment,
"I lost my smartphone, I've searched everywhere I can think of but can't find it"
—I reacted to this "front screen" right in front of my eyes and got swallowed up by it.
"Oh, what should I do, what should I do..." I couldn't get anything done,
and it's hard to think, "This is just an image being projected on the front screen."
But here, I made an effort to pull my consciousness back,
and placed my consciousness on the projector, which is the "back screen."
I re-selected the image from "I'm sweating cold sweat because I lost my phone"
to "My heart is calm. I will find my phone soon."
Then, suddenly, an intuition came to me: "Could it be over there?"
And it turned up in a place I never would have imagined.
By continuing to train with these small daily shifts in consciousness,
I hope to become better at re-selecting films on the 'back screen' (the projector).
Today's Summary: "When you feel like you're about to be swallowed by reality, pull your consciousness back."
Today's points are:
When you are about to react to the reality in front of you (the front screen),
pull your consciousness back once and return to the 'back screen' (the projector)
notice what kind of image you are projecting, and "re-select" the image
By repeating this, we can shift from being the "side that gets swallowed by reality" to the "side that creates reality."
...It sounds simple when written down, but in reality, it is incredibly difficult!
As a Tufti refugee, I will continue to train steadily.
Next time, I plan to write about how "where you direct your attention is everything."
