Hiroto Wakai's Personal Design Part 3: Why He Is the Most Masculine Member of Mrs. GREEN APPLE (Part 2)
This is a continuation from last time.
7. Even a super simple look doesn't feel plain

His hair is red, but he is wearing solid black from top to bottom. There are no patterns, accessories, or bags to serve as decorations.
It is usually better to have at least one flashy element, but even if everything else is super simple, it doesn't feel plain. This is because the intensity from his own face and presence remains.
8. He looks good in mode-style fashion
Mode-style refers to outfits that use monotone colors like black, white, and gray, creating an artificial and inorganic atmosphere. It has a vibe that looks like it could appear on a fashion runway. It also falls under the "super simple" category that the Fashionable type excels at. He looks good in black, and the cutting-edge feel matches his charismatic aura. Even when he goes super simple, it doesn't feel plain; instead, it gives off a sharp impression.

It gets close to white, which gives it a nice, inorganic feel.
He wore a mode-style suit during "Dance Hall."

Because he is a Natural type, he is not good at wearing suits in a conventional way. Therefore, he utilizes the Fashionable type's affinity for formal wear. Yes, the Fashionable type leans toward formal. If you dress it down, you lose that sense of tension.

Even if it is black, if you wear baggy pants and leave your shirt untucked, it becomes a bit too loose and relaxed, looking sloppy.

Even with flashy patterns, it is better to use fabric with structure, include a solid collar, and ensure the sizing is not too oversized.

Even at this time, he has the top button fastened securely.
That is why, even within the Fashionable type, he chooses the super simple mode-style direction.

By doing this, he can harmonize even when standing next to Mr. Omori, who only possesses the formal Romance and Feminine types.
However, because it is simple, he can exist without standing out more than the vocalist, Mr. Omori.
9. He looks good with heavy eye makeup

He wore makeup that looked like kumadori (kabuki makeup) during the Zenjin concert.

For the Fashionable type, having sharp eyes looks good, so the eyes are a great place to apply makeup. Applying eyeshadow thoroughly, drawing a bold eyeliner from the inner corner of the eye, and using an eyelash curler to lift the lashes and lengthening them with mascara. With this, he can further accentuate the sharpness and glamour he possesses.

⑩ He looks good in hard-textured items
Because he is masculine and flashy, his glamour is of the hard, not soft, variety. Therefore, he looks great in items with a hard texture.
For example, accessories that are rugged and clunky like the ones below are the best for him.

Now, this is what soft glamour looks like.
It is a fabric with a nap, like velour. Can you see how it is more glamorous than regular fabric? It is glamorous, but because it is fabric, it is soft.White is also a light color, so it feels soft. This is also cool, but it is more suited for the Romance type.

It suits people who are glamorous but feminine and gentle.

Instead of this, use color to create a hard look.
Using more vivid, darker colors will result in a harder texture.
⑪ He looks good in asymmetry
Asymmetry means being non-symmetrical on the left and right. Since it involves more complex elements than symmetrical designs, it suits people with the glamorous attribute.

For Fashionable types, it looks great when youbring an asymmetrical element diagonally across the front of the torso. It creates a bold, daring look that is very effective.

He is also good at letting one side hang down long. The look where the left and right sides are completely different lengths works well for him.
By the way, asymmetry for the Romance type involves things like hanging elements (in this case, lily flowers) or dresses that expose one shoulder, which creates asensual look, and,

for Ryo-chan's type, it becomes akitsch and quirky look.

⑫ He looks good in authoritative poses

Fashionable typeslook great when they act authoritative.
For example, a pose where he sits heavily in a chair and leans back looks very natural on him. It doesn't come across as unpleasant or make people think, 'Who does he think he is?'—it just fits him perfectly.
However, there is a downside. Even if there is a situation where he makes a mistake and has to apologize, Fashionable typesdo not look like they are reflecting on their actions. Even though they did something wrong, they end up looking arrogant. It is clearly a type unsuited for apologies.
And, despite looking like someone who is very capable, the scene of him making a mistake and apologizing feels very disappointing due to the huge gap.
That said, everyone makes mistakes. I recommend using your other type when apologizing.
⑬ Understated items look half-baked

He has red hair and is wearing a lilac uniform. Can you see how the bold, striking color of his hair doesn't match the understated light purple of the tie? By the way, this was taken after he dyed his hair red following the filming of the 'Lilac' MV, and he wore the uniform again later. It is unavoidable that it is no longer the best look.
For someone with this hair, a tie that is bright red, jet black, or something more intense and vivid would be better.
Alternatively, just leaving the top button open and going without a tie would be better.
Fashionable types are not good at understated things. When they wear quiet, small, or safe items, they end up looking half-baked.
Either make it extremely glamorous or wear nothing at all. A'decisive' stylethat commits to one or the other suits him.
By the way, the person who looks good in this uniform is Mr. Omori (Feminine).

The understated color scheme matches his gentle and quiet appearance, making it look good.

If he were to wear this uniform, it would be better to dye his hair brown and lean into his primary Natural type.Brown is also a somewhat ambiguous color compared to red or blonde hair. However, because he is a Natural type, brown hair adds a sense of lightness and effortless style that looks great. The uniform is also simple and linear, so if he wears it in a relaxed way, it becomes a style that suits the Natural type better.
⑭ Items that look feminine or childish do not suit him

This outfit is not entirely wrong.
He is using vibrant colors properly. The thick stripes also bring out the impact of the Fashionable type and the freshness of the Natural type, which looks good.
Since he is a Natural type, sleeveless looks also suit him. (It creates a dynamic feel. Rolling up sleeves also looks good.)
However, I want you to look closely at the colors and items being used.
First, the color of the pants: pink. Pink is fundamentally a feminine color.
And the pearls. These are also curved and are generally only worn by women. There is a sense of mismatch with his sharp, masculine vibe. If someone were to wear these items...

It would be Omori-san, who possesses feminine types.
Also, the color of the stripes on the top.
Black is fine, but yellow and orange...
When using these colors, it tends to look a bit pop, cute, and childish. However, there is someone in Mrs. GREEN APPLE who looks absolutely amazing in these colors.

Yes, it's Ryo-chan. His member color is yellow. Don't you associate him with yellow or orange?
I will explain his PD in the next installment. Look forward to it.
As you can see, even if you understand your Personal Design, choosing a color scheme that incorporates elements from a type far from your own can create a sense of discomfort.
I am a Feminine/Fashionable type, but thick-striped T-shirts are too casual and don't quite fit me.
When you receive a professional diagnosis, I think you eliminate types starting from the one furthest from you; it is important to check if elements of your least favorite types are included, as the types eliminated early are the furthest from you.
Also, there is something called color psychology, where
purple... bewitching/noble,
green... fresh/natural,
pink... feminine/cute,
and so on; there are images that come to mind depending on the color. You should avoid colors that remind you of your least favorite types, even if they are vibrant. Consult with your other type besides Fashionable.
⑮ The contrast with Motoki is interesting

In Personal Design, each type seems to have a gender.
Fashionable and Natural are masculine, Feminine and Romance are feminine, and Grace is somewhere in between.
Looking at the two of them, they are perfectly divided into masculine and feminine sides.

At the end of the live version of "Inferno," there is a scene where the two of them play guitar together. The scene where two people with opposite elements face each other and strum their guitars is beautiful and picturesque. It is the beauty of opposing forces colliding.
Also, I heard someone say, "Because Wakai is there, Mrs. GREEN APPLE feels like a rock band." Omori-san and Ryo-chan both have a somewhat feminine atmosphere, and if it were just the two of them, they might tend to look like an idol group, but I think that by having a masculine presence like Wakai-kun, they can solidify their position as a proper rock band.
Conclusion
He sometimes wears simple clothes, and I don't get the impression that he is the type to talk incessantly, but he is a man with a ton of charisma. His main type is Natural, but he has a very high tolerance for flashy styles.
Still, I'm exhausted. In addition to watching about 50 music videos, I also looked through all of his Instagram posts. But I feel a sense of accomplishment.
Thank you for reading this far.
If you found this insightful, I would be happy if you could give it a like.
