I went out for the New Year's sale and managed to get a lucky bag

This is Hoshimoto.

The title says everything about my day today.

Since that would be the end of it otherwise.

This morning, I had a dream about my student days—I wouldn't call it a nightmare, but I don't remember it clearly, and the content wasn't very good.

Hoshimoto often dreams about past workplaces, but I also frequently have dreams about my student days (especially junior high school, when the bullying was tough).

With that said, I woke up wide awake in the morning, ate breakfast as usual, and spent time watching a rebroadcast of last year's 'Rating Check' show. I also checked the Hakone Ekiden from time to time.

Then, it became afternoon, and thinking that I would end up sleeping the whole day away again if I stayed like this, I decided to go out. The shopping mall in front of the station started its New Year's sale today, so I intentionally skipped that one and went to a different shopping mall.

Since that one had started its sale yesterday, I didn't think there would be any lucky bags left, so I went to the special venue without much expectation. Miraculously, one lucky bag of brand-name clothing remained, and since the size was perfect, I managed to get it.

It contained a down coat and three items of clothing that I can wear to work, and the designs were to my liking, so I thought I made a good purchase. Lucky bags are tricky because you don't know what's inside, so sometimes you end up disappointed after buying one. This time it was a big hit, so I'm glad.

Then, I stopped by Uniqlo and got a long-sleeved T-shirt since it was cheaper than usual. I made some good purchases. I plan to use them for my commute starting next week, along with the lucky bag items.

Even so, it being January 2nd, there were an incredible number of people. There were people everywhere I went, so I almost got motion sickness from the crowds and felt a bit unwell.

I'm sure there will be a lot of people tomorrow, too.
I'm wondering where to go tomorrow.
Anyway, today was a big harvest. I'm glad I decided to go out shopping.
