[Hoshi-Mama's Chat] A 2-Day Report on Enjoying Fukuoka ✈️

Hello everyone. This is Hoshi-Mama ⭐️

For this edition of "Hoshi-Mama's Chat," I'll be talking in a relaxed way,
while weaving in a little bit of Hakata dialect 😊

In a previous article, I wrote about
"Creating a travel itinerary with AI!"

I actually used that itinerary to travel around Fukuoka for two days with my friends ✈️
We followed the schedule almost exactly, and every time we checked, "Okay, next is here!"
I was actually a bit moved that the itinerary was really useful while we traveled ✨

this report of our two-day trip 🌿

🚂 Day 1: Hakata Gourmet & teamLab

I met everyone at Hakata Station 🚃

The moment we saw each other for the first time in a while, we said, "We finally met!"
And from that moment on, we were all smiles 😊

Our first meal was at
Fukuoka's soul food spot, "Inaba Udon" 🍜

As a Fukuoka local,
this is a flavor I really want you to try first 😋

The soft noodles,
the crispy burdock tempura,
and the gentle broth...

"Fukuoka udon is really soft, you know~"
I said as we chatted,
all having a great time together 😊

Eating it again,
I deeply felt, "Fukuoka udon really is great, isn't it?"

When everyone says, "It's delicious!" and is happy,
somehow it makes me happy too ✨

After we were full,
we went next to the PayPay Dome

to teamLab Forest Fukuoka ✨✨

It was my first time going,
and the moment we walked in, everyone was so excited!

"Wow!" "Amazing!"
I could hear everyone's voices from all around,
and our excitement hit the max all at once 😆

A space where colorful butterflies dance,
a fantastical forest of light...

Everywhere I looked was beautiful,
and I couldn't help but let out a 'Wow...✨'.

We took tons of photos,
and before we knew it, we had all returned to our childhood selves 😄

Even as adults,
it's nice to have time where we can really let loose like this 😊

This was a place I'd want to visit again and again 🦋

At night, we moved to the Tenjin area,

and toasted with Fukuoka's famous chicken skin skewers 🍗🍺

Crispy on the outside,
chewy on the inside.

That texture is just addictive 😆

Saying things like 'This is delicious!',
we drank, laughed, and chatted.

Before I knew it, the time had flown by 🍻

To finish it off, it had to be a food stall 🏮

We strolled along feeling the night breeze,
talking about how 'Fukuoka nights are great' 😊

Finally, we ended the first day with tonkotsu ramen 🍜🌙

With our stomachs and hearts full, it was a happy first day~ ✨

⛩️ Day 2: Power charging at Dazaifu

Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, wrapped in the refreshing fresh greenery of May ⛩️

From the moment we got off the train,
the air felt so pleasant,
and just walking around felt healing 🌿

Actually,
the main hall was finished,
but it was still under maintenance inside, so we couldn't pray inside yet.

Because of that,
we prayed at the temporary hall ✨

The temporary hall surrounded by greenery was also lovely,
and as we talked about how 'this is special in its own way,' we prayed slowly.
I'm also looking forward to the day we can pray at the completed main hall. 😊

For lunch, we had the mentaiko chazuke set
at a mentaiko shop on the approach to the shrine 🍚

Enjoying various flavors of mentaiko,
and finishing it off as ochazuke by pouring warm dashi broth over it 😋

Talking about things like "Which one do you like best?"
the time spent comparing the tastes was also fun ✨

After that, we went to the back of the Tenmangu Shrine to
Tenkai Inari Daimyojin🦊

It's the oldest Inari shrine in Kyushu.

We prayed in the quiet atmosphere while walking through a tunnel of fresh greenery ✨

The sight of the vermilion torii gates continuing on was truly mystical, and everyone was captivated for a while.

It was a time that felt like it even cleared my mind 😊

These two days
were full of laughter, full of eating,
and full of walking!

The excitement of teamLab ✨
The deliciousness of the chicken skin 🍻
The sacred atmosphere of Dazaifu... 🌿

All in all,
it was the best two days that will remain in my memories ✨
Even as a local,
I really think, "Fukuoka is such a great place after all" 😊

What I thought about again on this trip was,

"When there's someone you want to see, see them while you can!"

That this is truly important.

Being able to laugh together like this,
and spend the same time together,
is really special after all 😊
