Are your eyes tired? - Spring Medicinal Tea
In medicinal cuisine, spring begins from the first day of spring.
Spring health cultivation begins.
The cold is still severe, but
the body has already begun preparing for spring.
Since the end of January, my eyes have started to feel
blurry and tired.
In spring, there are many eye problems such as eye fatigue, bloodshot eyes, and pain deep inside the eyes.
This is due to the influence of the organ called the "Liver," which becomes active in spring.
The body, which had shrunk due to the cold,
releases energy in spring
and tries to become active.
Therefore, the "Liver," which governs the body's flow of energy,
becomes active.
Since the "Liver" also has the function of storing blood,
when a burden is placed on the liver,
blood circulation worsens,
and problems appear in the eyes, which consume a lot of blood.
Therefore, the points for spring medicinal cuisine and health cultivation are
✅ Ingredients that energize the liver.
✅ Ingredients that replenish blood and improve circulation.
✅ Being careful not to overuse your eyes.
I wrote about the specific ingredients in last year's article.
Today, I would like to introduce a medicinal tea.
Last spring, my eyes were extremely tired,
and they hurt so much that I couldn't even look at my smartphone.
Furthermore, when hay fever started, my eyes became itchy and painful.
The most effective thing for the eyes is goji berries.
Every day, I would eat about a handful
as a snack.
They are sweet and delicious.
When you float them in tea or black tea,
they soften and become even sweeter.
However, since it still didn't get better, I went to a herbal pharmacy and
bought goji berry juice made from concentrated goji berry extract.
This was very effective.
As for tea,
goji berries and chrysanthemum flowers support the liver and
also replenish blood.
Chrysanthemum flowers also lower the heat
when you are frustrated and feel like your blood is rushing to your head.
(It's most effective when added to peppermint tea.)
And black beans help create and circulate blood.
Using roasted green tea (hojicha) as a base,
add goji berries, chrysanthemum flowers, and black beans.

Put roasted green tea leaves, black beans, and goji berries into a pot of hot water.
Steep for 5 minutes, then add the chrysanthemum flowers.
Pour into a cup.

The taste is mild for all of them, so
it just tastes like roasted green tea.
I drink it every day.
Last year was tough, so
I'm taking early precautions this year.
If you think,
"My eyes feel strained,"
it is a sign from your body saying,
"You are lacking blood."
Let's be especially careful in the spring.
