December 25th: Christmas with my parents
#AWinterMoment

For the past few years, I've been crashing at my parents' house on the 25th to force a Christmas party.
My parents are the type to say 'Christmas, what's that?', but I do it anyway because I want to share some time that we can both enjoy.
I make sure to prepare presents, too. I even bring along the light-up snowman from my house lol.
I get the cake from 7-Eleven every year (since it's close to home). I buy the Toshi Yoroizuka chocolate cake because I love it.
We don't do anything special, but I have them prepare roast chicken, and I get some salad and a little bit of food. We watch TV, chat about current events, and I annoy the two cats who don't like me at all (lol).
The two cats hiss at me with a little 'hiss!' whenever they see my face. But even that face is irresistibly cute♡

After we eat, drink, and settle down, I give my parents their presents.
This year for my dad, I got: - Edible soy sauce (to go with rice) - Chicken meatball soup with ginger - Soybean kinako beans - White truffle salt. My dad is a great cook and loves to eat. These are gifts that keep his health in mind (lol).
For my mom, I got: - Gloves that work with smartphones. She travels a lot with my aunt, so I gave them to her as a matching set. Apparently, they're going somewhere again next month (^^). Please use them♪
And once I've settled down, I head home.
Lately, I've had a rough time with work fatigue, frustration from trigger finger and canker sores, and unexplained irritation, but having a relaxing meal with my parents felt like a bit of a reset.
My desire to support and protect my parents remains unchanged, and I felt even more gratitude and love for them.
I have two Christmases. The Christmas I spend with my husband and the Christmas I spend with my parents.
Both are very important, fun, and happy Christmases for me.
I'll do my best so I can do the same thing again next year\(^o^)/!!!
