【ODE TO JOY】No effort needed, the strength of 'just being'

I don't know many of his songs,
and I didn't even know the first song, but for some reason, tears overflowed.
It was a place that allowed everyone to 'just be here'.
Perhaps it was a time that took me to such a place.

'A voice that isn't drowned out even by an orchestra.'
A conversation I heard somewhere on the way home.
Indeed, an overwhelming vocal volume resonated throughout the venue.
Yet, I didn't feel a single bit of unnecessary tension in it.

Singing,
standing on stage,
it was something completely natural for him.
That is the kind of person he was.

Being your natural self
means not straining, but it is not an easy thing to do.
Because it means
being defenseless against the stimuli around you.

To pass through and be passed by 'being yourself'.
That is joy.
