The love you kept going even though you noticed 'something was off'
At first, I'm sure I really liked him.
It's fun when we're together, and it's not like I dislike him. Even so, there's something that has been bothering me somewhere all along.
Even though there's no clear reason, the thought that pops up in fleeting moments is
'Something is off'
There are relationships that continue while we turn a blind eye to that feeling.
Unfulfilled for no reason
He is kind, and he hasn't done anything terrible to me. He keeps in touch properly, and it's normally fun when we meet.
And yet, there are times when my mood suddenly sinks on the way home.
Even though it should have been fun, I feel unfulfilled somewhere.
'Is this really okay?' I feel anxious for no reason.
Precisely because there is no clear dissatisfaction,
I tend to put a lid on that feeling,
but that vague sense of something missing is definitely there.
The discomfort is small and vague
What makes this type of love tricky is that there is no definitive problem.
He hasn't cheated on me, and we haven't had any big fights.
Even if I consult someone, the discomfort is just at a level where they would likely say, 'Isn't that normal?'
But those small discrepancies definitely pile up.
Conversations don't quite click,
the feeling of being cherished is thin,
or I notice differences in our values.
Each one is small, but before I know it, they become a discomfort I can no longer ignore.
Even so, 'a reason to break up' feels weak, so
I continue the relationship.
Not knowing if it's love or attachment
As time goes by, I stop understanding my own feelings.
I feel at ease when we meet, and I don't dislike the time we spend together.
In fact, there are times when I feel a little lonely without them.
But I become unsure whether that feeling is 'love' or just 'attachment'.
It becomes unclear.
The excitement fades, and only something like a sense of security remains.
However, even that sense of security is somewhat unstable, and I cannot say I am completely fulfilled.
That is precisely why it becomes even harder to make a judgment.
Suddenly feeling anxious when talking about the future
Even though it doesn't bother me usually, the moment I think about the future,
a sense of anxiety suddenly surfaces.
When I imagine the near future, such as marriage or living together,
for some reason, my heart feels heavy.
Even though these are things I should be able to think about positively, something puts on the brakes.
'Is it really okay for me to stay with this person like this?'
When that question crosses my mind,
the anxiety I usually pretend not to see suddenly becomes very real.
The reason why I can't stop even after noticing the discomfort
In truth, I should know it myself.
That if I continue like this, things will keep moving forward while something remains misaligned.
Even so, the reason I cannot leave is that it's not because I have come to dislike them.
We have spent time together until now, and
there is also the anxiety of building a relationship from scratch again.
Above all, there is the fear that 'things might get worse than they are now'.
The less major dissatisfaction there is in a relationship, the harder it becomes to decide to end it.
That is exactly why it drags on.
'Something is off' is a valid reason
The feeling that 'something is off' is often thought of as vague and weak.
But in reality, it is the most honest sign.
An indescribable sense of unease is something your intuition senses, not your head.
If you keep ignoring it, it will appear later as an even greater discrepancy.
Even if it's a small sense of unease at first, it becomes impossible to ignore if it piles up.
That is why it is important to face it at that stage.
When that love ends
This type of love ends suddenly one day.
It's not that a major event happened,
nor was there a decisive trigger.
It's just that the moment the accumulated sense of unease reaches its limit,
your feelings suddenly snap.
'Maybe it really is different'
With those words, everything can end.
And after it ends, you often think this:
'I had a sense of unease from the beginning'.
Love is not something that continues based on conditions alone.
No matter how problem-free the partner is,
if they are out of sync with your own senses, it will become painful at some point.
'Something is off'
That small sense of unease is something you shouldn't ignore.
Love with someone who truly fits you
naturally 'feels right' even without a reason.
