What a housewife felt after getting introduced to side jobs and work-from-home opportunities on Threads
I was looking for a job I could do from home.
When I looked at Threads, many posts appeared saying 'I'll introduce you to work-from-home jobs' or 'I have side jobs available'.
Since I was at the point where I
wanted to start working from home!
I actually went ahead and commented on every single one I saw on Threads.
⭐︎ If you have experience as a childcare worker or kindergarten teacher, please contact me. I have a side job for you.
⭐︎ Work from home by tapping away at data entry
Won't you join me?
I earned ◎◎ yen last month
⭐︎ Housewives and beginners are very welcome!
I thought, 'Let me ask for details on the ones that sound interesting!'
and I sent comments saying, 'Please tell me the details!!' to everyone.
I remember leaving comments on about 20 posts in total.
I received details for every single one of those comments.
And so, this housewife with no SNS experience
was led from one LINE account to another.
Is this something they can only explain on LINE!?
What kind of job is it!?
Since I had already commented,
I felt I had to register on LINE to find out!!!!!!
So I became friends with them on LINE.
It was just my own assumption, but
when I saw the phrase 'If you are a childcare worker or kindergarten teacher, please do this side job',
I thought it was some kind of administrative work related to childcare.
But when I opened it up, it was an introduction to an MLM that had nothing to do with childcare.
Huh? This has nothing to do with childcare at all,
I thought, while receiving their sales pitch.
I see!
So that's how they grab people's attention and lead them to solicitations and LINE additions.
Oh, this is just my personal experience, so I'm not trying to deny it.
And next.
It's a data entry job.
For this one too, I was led to LINE, connected to one person after another,
sent some images I didn't really understand,
and told, 'This is the job. Let's start after you register.'
I didn't understand it from that alone, so I immediately asked an AI.
The AI said,
'Don't register. It looks like a scam, so be careful!'
SAAAAAAFE!!!!!!
Repeating this process, I spent my days
opening the DMs where I had left comments.
In my experience, on Threads,
I never encountered a company where a proper company name was clearly stated.
* They ask for initial fees
* They lead you to other platforms like LINE
* The job description is vague
* Phrases like 'Anyone can earn money easily'
* Company information is unclear
* They tell you to use things like cryptocurrency
It was just things like this.
So,
What kind of jobs can you do with peace of mind?
* Company name and address can be verified
* Job description is concrete
* Compensation and conditions are clearly stated
* Contract details can be verified
* No need to pay money upfront
These became the criteria I used to check things!!
In the end, I didn't encounter a proper company, but
it's not about 'It's safe because it's introduced on Threads'
or 'It's dangerous because it looks suspicious',
but rather, it was super important to check the job content, the company, and the contract details yourself,
not just the place where it's introduced.
To protect yourself, too.
And finally!!
I made a list of what to check at a minimum if you are a housewife looking for a work-from-home job.
□ Check the company name
□ Confirm the job content specifically
□ Confirm compensation and payment conditions
□ Check for initial fees
□ Check contract details
□ Do not give out personal information immediately
□ Do not take 'easy high income' at face value
At first, I felt like 'anything is fine as long as I can do it from home.' But when I actually started looking, I realized there are many things to check.
I hope this experience of mine
will be helpful for those who are going to look for work-from-home jobs on Threads.
