My Monochrome Days Have Started to Gain Color
Nice to meet you.
I draw as a hobby.
My methods vary, from creating digital art on my iPad to drawing in a sketchbook using pastels, watercolor pencils, or a glass pen.
I have loved drawing since I was a child, but
I spent my time on my nursing job and household matters, and drifted away from art.
However, in February 2022, I felt a very strong urge to draw, so I spent my pocket money to buy an iPad and started drawing digitally.
That brings me to where I am today.
I usually work as a nurse.
I am not good at multitasking or working at a fast pace.
Also, because I feel various emotions too intensely,
I feel completely exhausted when I get home from work.
Gradually, that trait became particularly strong,
and while I felt it was painful and wanted to quit,
I feel like I was just working mechanically to make a living.
Although the thought that I had loved since I was a child,
“I actually love drawing”emerged, I didn't know what or how to draw.
For now,
I thought, “Let's start by making LINE stickers,”
and began creating them.
What I realized while making them was
that I am not very good at drawing clear lines, colors, or characters.
I realized that softer drawings
felt more right
for my inspiration.
And so, I started drawing soft pictures as I liked
and posting them on note.
Now, I really like the style of “working as a nurse and drawing when I get home.”
I draw while dreaming like a child about how it would be wonderful
if one day I could draw illustrations for picture books or articles,
or write poems to go with my drawings.
By drawing, I hope that I am fulfilled first,
and that those who see my work feel a sense of warmth.
I think that kind of feeling is good.
For me now,
drinking coffee after coming home from work
and posting drawings on note
has become my greatest comfort and joy.
Every day,the time I spend thinking, “What shall I draw today?”
is a very exciting time.
Having something I love has allowed me to approach even the work I used to hate
with a positive attitude.
“Doing at least one thing you love during the day”is something I realize
really has an amazing effect.
“Writing down your thoughts”
I think this is also very good for mental health.
For me, it is a very good way to relieve stress.
I am very grateful to note for giving me such great joy.
And above all,
I am truly happy that so many people use the drawings I post in “Everyone's Photo Gallery.”
I have taken the liberty of saving them in a magazine.
Thank you.
Thank you for reading until the end.

What shall I draw today?
