"No, no. You can't continue it like that."
My master is incredibly strict. He measures the connection between each word down to the millisecond and points out the timing.
"How many times do I have to tell you!"
He slaps me on the head with an open palm. The sparks flying from my eyes are intense enough to light a barbecue.
"What are you thinking about there? Can you really say you're fully in character like that!"
I had tried to become that person. But for a split second, I thought, 'I wouldn't do that.' That thought appeared in my expression and my breathing, creating a subtle sense of discomfort.
"Become a fool! Be a complete fool! Enjoy the conversation!"
That's right. That's exactly it. I don't need logic. I just need to enjoy the conversation.
"Alright, try it from the beginning!"
"Nice to meet you. Always a pleasure. It's me."
"I appreciate the polite greeting. I'm not sure if it's the first time or if we've met before, but... so, who is 'me'?"
The spirit of comedy has been passed down in Kansai since ancient times.
To master that path, many Kansai people work hard at their training today.
So that they can end their lives laughing with a "Why you!" or "That's enough!"
