A Request Regarding the Use of My Illustrations
I register the illustrations I draw to the 'Minna no Photo Gallery' (Everyone's Photo Gallery).
I am very grateful that many people continue to use my past illustrations as header images for their notes.
I have one request regarding this.
When using my illustrations as note header images, I would like you to use the 'official procedure' via the Minna no Photo Gallery.
Although it is very rare, there are cases where screenshots or uploaded image files of my illustrations are used as article header images or within the articles themselves.
In such cases, the illustration is posted without the original creator being credited.
For example, to explain using the header image of this article,
when using the official procedure, 'Photo by [Account Name]' is displayed at the bottom right of the image, but this does not appear when using screenshots or direct image uploads.
At the same time, the creator who registered the image to the Minna no Photo Gallery does not receive a notification about who used their illustration.
As an artist who pours heart and time into drawing illustrations every day, this makes me feel very lonely and empty.
I do have a desire for my name, as the creator of the illustration, to be displayed, and to know what kind of articles my illustrations are being used in.
I have a deep attachment and love for every single illustration and photograph I create.
When registering to the Minna no Photo Gallery, the phrase 'The copyright of this image belongs to me' appears at the end, and it is only after I check the box to agree that it is registered.
Works registered in the Minna no Photo Gallery
remain under the copyright of the creator and are not free stock materials.
As an exception, in my case, I create 'Irodori-obi' (decorative bands),
and since these cannot be registered in the Minna no Photo Gallery due to their size, I ask that you upload them from within your article to use them in your note posts.

In cases like mine, where the creator has specific intentions,
I personally think that citing them via direct image upload or screenshots is acceptable.
🍀 (For my Irodori-obi, you do not need to credit my name. Please use them as supporting roles in your note articles.) 🍀
Regarding the use of the Minna no Photo Gallery,
noteis also described in the official help center.
I thought there might be other creators who feel the same way, so I wrote this article.
Thank you for your cooperation.
