I was approached by that man at a small, run-down bar. I was drinking to forget my troubles because work was so hard, and he was drinking just as heavily right next to me.

The man said he was in a similar situation to mine, and he poured out endless complaints about his company—how the work was grueling, how he felt sick from having to deceive people, and so on.
I didn't ask what kind of work he did, but seeing him cling to his company while complaining about it was so pathetic that, strangely enough, I felt relieved.
I can surely live more positively than this guy. I'll hand in my resignation tomorrow. There must be other places where I can shine.
When I told him that, the man smiled enviously.

After confirming that the target had left the bar, the man called his boss.
"It's done. He says he's quitting tomorrow."
"Well done. The client will be pleased that the internal restructuring is moving forward. You really are our ace."
When his boss asked if there was a trick to getting people to quit, the man replied, "Just be honest," and took another deep gulp of his drink.
