The small metal pieces I chose after giving up on sticky notes as a book lover
I love reading books.
I want to mark the pages that catch my attention.
There are also passages I want to reread later.
However, I never really liked sticky notes.
Before I know it, they are bent.
They peel off.
When I take a book off the shelf, I can no longer tell where I stuck them.
That has happened to me many times.
Especially with my favorite books, they end up covered in sticky notes.
I felt a bit uneasy, as if the books were getting damaged.
That was when I found
Book Darts
.
At first, I didn't understand what they were.
I opened the box that arrived and couldn't help but laugh.
That was because it was just filled with many small metal pieces.
“Are these really useful?”
That was my first impression.
However, I was surprised when I actually used them.
You just clip them onto the edge of the page.
That is all. Yet, I can open the page I want to reread in an instant. It is so simple it is almost anticlimactic.
The appearance of the book does not change
This is what I liked about them.
With sticky notes, paper sticks out from the side of the book.
If you stick on many of them, it gets a bit cluttered.
Book Darts are different.
Since they are like thin metal bookmarks, they are barely noticeable.
They look neat even when lined up on a bookshelf.
You can really tell the difference when you use them on your favorite paperbacks or new books.
Because I can find the place I want to open right away, I have started picking up my books more often.
The peace of mind that they won't be lost
Sticky notes are consumables.
They decrease as you use them.
But Book Darts are metal.
They are the same no matter how many years you use them.
They don't bend.
They don't fade.
Their adhesive strength doesn't weaken.
I feel like there are surprisingly few tools like this.
Even if they feel a bit expensive the moment you buy them, they are cheap in the end because you use them for a long time.
Making reading a little more enjoyable
This is not an exaggeration.
It won't change your life.
It won't dramatically improve your work efficiency.
But every time I open a book, I feel a little better.
I like stationery like this.
It doesn't insist too much on its own convenience.
But you would be in trouble if it were gone.
It is that kind of tool.
If you currently have many sticky notes in your books, please try them once.
Perhaps at first, you will think,
“Aren't these just pieces of metal?”
I was the same.
But before I knew it, I was using them every time I opened a book.
Stationery is mysterious.
Even though they look plain, these are the things that stay with you for a long time.
