"I've been watching you, always." Hisui's Weekly Short-Short Note
There is a 'Face Vending Machine' on the first floor of the west school building.
I named it that myself.
Wednesday, 3:45 PM. I stand in front of the vending machine.
The vending machine has a small mirror,
and through the mirror, I can see the track team practicing on the school grounds.
Sakura Hara is doing muscle training.
I clicked the shutter in the back of my eyes.
Even if I keep doing this,
nothing will change,
and it doesn't mean I'll be able to date Hara.
I know that, but.
Third year of high school, June. The sports clubs will be retiring soon.
The days of the 'Face Vending Machine' are also numbered.
Before I knew it, the school grounds were empty. I press the cola button.
When I took it out, Hara was behind me.
The flower that bloomed in my pathetic three years was there.
"Oda-kun, you always buy things here, don't you?"
"...No, I don't."
"What did you buy?"
I have no choice.
I hold out the cola.
"Here, you can have it."
"Are you sure? Then I'll tell you something in return. This vending machine has a mirror, right?"
"Hmph."
"On Wednesdays, when I'm doing muscle training in front of the poplar tree, you come by. You show up in the mirror."
I stayed silent.
"I've been watching you, always."
Now then, which one of us said that line?
For now,
Hara took the cola.

Today, I am participating in Tarahakani-san's weekly short-short note.
The theme is 'Face Vending Machine'. It's kind of easy to write about, but also kind of difficult (lol).
Hei-chan's entry is here.
If there were a vending machine like this,
it would be extremely helpful for girls (lol).
Tomorrow is White Bear Literature Club day.
Since there is a theme every week in June,
I'll do my best (lol).
See you again tomorrow!
