Chapter 6: Enlightenment
2022/9/1 KIN106 [Learned by listening] Completed.
[Q: It is said that there are tens of thousands of paths to God. However, many religions and spiritual organizations claim that theirs is the only path. Why does this happen?]
A: Claiming it as if it were the only path usually stems from ignorance or an attempt to control others. Looking at the great spiritual teachers throughout history, we can see that they all reached the truth through their own unique paths. What all awakened teachers have in common is that they completely surrendered the ego. How that was done differed for each, but the final outcome was the same.God does not play favorites or grant exclusive rights.
Definition of 'Much' (Ignorance/Lack of Wisdom)
[Noun/Adjectival Verb] Not knowing. Lack of knowledge. Lack of wisdom. Also, the state of being so. "Taking advantage of the other's ignorance," "an ignorant person."
Differences in choices arise due to the seeker's spiritual intuition or karmic tendencies.Everyone is already 'chosen by God.'The 'Self' is already here.Otherwise, one could neither live nor exist, so whether or not to accept that is left to the individual.
God's love is unconditional and absolute. The sky does not 'exist' only for some people and 'not exist' for others. Nor does the sun shine only on the heads of a whimsically chosen few.God is complete and perfect. Flattery and fawning are merely human concepts. You can worship the sun, but you cannot manipulate it.
Enlightenment is not something that can be 'acquired' or achieved. Nor is it 'given' as a reward for doing good deeds.. These are all beliefs planted in childhood. God is immutable and cannot be tempted by maneuvering, flattery, or bargaining to gain preferential treatment. Worship is useful for strengthening the worshiper's commitment and inspiration. However, God remains silent and immovable.
[Q: As a spiritual seeker, what is the most valuable quality?]
A: First, start with a sense of security and conviction. Stop doubting yourself or being timid.Without hesitation, accept that you are a person worthy of seeking, and resolve to surrender yourself completely to the truth of God.
The fact that should be accepted without limitation is simple yet very powerful. Surrendering brings about exponential spiritual progress.
1. The greatest proof that God loves and cherishes you is that you exist.
2. There is no need to compare yourself to others. 'Holiness,' virtue, goodness, qualifications, and purity are not criteria for comparison. These are all human concepts and have nothing to do with God.
3. Accept that 'fearing God' is a product of ignorance. God is nothing but love and peace.
4. A 'judging' God is an illusion created by the ego, stemming from guilt associated with punishments experienced in childhood. God is not like your parents.
5. The essence of Christ's teachings was very simple: to avoid negativity (level 200 or below), and the ultimate goal was to raise his disciples to 'Unconditional Love' (measured value 540). Christ knew that if the soul's level exceeded 'Unconditional Love,' its destination after death would be assured and the soul would be saved. This is essentially the same as what has been taught in the world's great religions, such as the 'Pure Land' in Buddhism.
6. Recognize that salvation and awakening are somewhat different goals. To be saved, the ego must be purified. However, to awaken, the ego must be completely erased. The path to awakening can be said to be more difficult and thorough.
7. It is not the personal 'you' that seeks awakening. It is an impersonal characteristic within consciousness that is driving it. Spiritual intuition and dedication will support you.
8. When you realize that you have already achieved the most important goal, anxiety and impatience disappear, and you finally find peace and regain comfort. That goal is that you are on the path of spiritual devotion.Spiritual growth is not something to be accomplished. It is about how you live. And walking that path itself is the reward. Therefore, where you direct your motivation becomes important.
Explanation of Joju (Achievement)
[Noun] (Suru-verb) Accomplishing something. Also, having a wish or the like come true. "Achieve a long-cherished desire," "Fulfillment of a great vow."
9.Let us rejoice that every step you take benefits everyone. The spiritual devotion and activities performed by one person become a gift of life and love to all of humanity.
Explanation of Kenshin (Devotion)
[Noun] (Suru-verb)
1. To sacrifice oneself and serve for the sake of others or a certain cause. "Devote oneself to the development of the nation."
2. In Christianity, to dedicate one's life to God.
10. There are no timetables or prescriptions on the path to God.The route each person follows is unique, but the challenges to be overcome are relatively common to all. It is about transcending the errors that humans tend to commit, and these errors are inherently built into the structure of the ego. You may want to think of yourself as an individual. However, the ego is not personal. It is inherited when you are born as a human, and differences arise due to past karma.
11. By continuing to pray earnestly, you can deepen your degree of devotion and inspiration, and accelerate your growth.
12."God's grace" is showered upon everyone. Also, devoted seekers can partake in the "grace of saints" from the past. The ego has great power, so without the assistance of higher-dimensional spiritual beings, the ego cannot transcend itself on its own. Fortunately, the power of the consciousness of every enlightened being and avatar that has ever existed remains on Earth and is accessible. By focusing on the consciousness and teachings of enlightened beings through meditation, you can absorb that energy.Saints who have truly reached awakening wish for all seekers to reach the goal safely. It is not limited to certain groups or specific members. Just as one seeker who pursues spiritual growth benefits all of humanity, the teacher's awakening benefits the seeker. That power and energy are available if you seek them. There are no prerequisites or obligations for that.
Explanation of Oncho (Grace)
1. Blessings received from God or a lord. Compassion.
2. In Christianity, God's grace toward humanity.
【Q: Why is spiritual seeking always accompanied by hardship?】
The ego has a habit of conceptualizing everything. To dismantle the ego, you must first grasp its true nature. There is no need to feel any guilt for having an ego. To that end, it is effective to first explore the origins of the ego.
In terms of the evolution of consciousness, humans are in a very difficult position. We traditionally imagine that the first life to appear on this Earth was a very primitive organism born from "mud." If we trace back to the origin of life, we can surmise that organisms were faced with various challenges for survival. The basic motives and functions of the ego are actually very simple and clear. This is also evident when looking at animal ecology.
Human life also contains all animalistic survival strategies.Territoriality, interspecies competition, group dominance, hunting, killing enemies, courtship behavior, child-rearing and protection, conflict between kin, intimidation, domination, etc.In addition to these, there is also fear of attack and danger, as well as fear of being expelled from the herd or group. These animalistic habits are deeply rooted in physiological and emotional reactions called instincts.
And over thousands of years, instincts were refined and established as behavioral patterns through discipline and education from society and parents. These behavioral patterns were not limited to individuals, but were largely reinforced as social modes of behavior, and formalized as political, national, and judicial positions and values. Intelligence became an important tool for survival, and as it developed, it cleverly rewrote all of the animalistic programs inherent in us.Consciousness itself is originally a blank state with no programs. All programs are like software input into the hardware of consciousness.
However, no matter how intellectual we have become, the basic structure of survival patterns remains animalistic.Even today's education is conducted for survival and success. In other words, the innate motives of the ego are survival and acquisition, both of which are based on fear.
The human body's mechanism is also controlled by brain mechanisms and neuroscience that react innately only to pain or pleasure. This self-activating brain reward system is another trap that must be avoided. Human wisdom has utilized this reward system to invent artificial reward/pleasure substances. For example, drugs that weaken the brain and make it easier to reprogram are such things. The brain has a genetic tendency to be vulnerable to addiction, and the purpose of one's life up to that point fades away and is replaced by something else.
Explanation of Zeijaku (Fragility)
[Noun/Adjectival-verb] Being fragile and weak. Also, that state. "Fragile ground," "Fragile nerves."
Worse yet, all of these behaviors and programmed actions broadcast energy into the energy field of humanity as a whole at their respective levels. These are reinforced in realms of influence that are inaccessible to ordinary consciousness. They are then further reinforced through media and all human means of communication that support those programs, seeking social approval or disapproval.
I have stated the innate [natural] origin of the ego here to clarify that we were born with it rather than having created it ourselves.Once you realize that no one, including yourself, chose to create their ego, you can be freed from that guilt and have more compassion for yourself and others. The human condition is primarily 'given' karmically [=unconsciously]. Knowing this, you can accept it as it is, with compassion, without blame. And you will understand that there is neither good nor bad in it.Humanity lives in a realm of tension between emotional instincts and the counterbalancing power of spiritual awakening (i.e., the conflict between the animal and the angel).
[Q: If the ego arises from biological origins, permeates our genes, is reinforced by society, and is deeply programmed, is it truly possible to escape from it?]
A: It is possible to transcend the ego.The important thing is that the problem is not the habits of the ego, but identifying 'myself' with it.
We inherited the ego as 'it.' And, in fact, 'it' is impersonal. The problem only arises when you think it is you and identify with it..The structure of the ego as 'it' is not that unique or distinctive. With only slight differences in karma, relatively everyone has a similar 'it.'What really differs from person to person is the degree to which they are slavishly following that program. In other words, the size of the ego depends on how much the person identifies with it. The ego inherently has no power (positive energy). As you grow spiritually, the power (positive energy) to reduce the influence of the ego's programs increases dramatically. This is the true meaning of the 'Scale of Consciousness.'
Explanation of 'Reizoku' [Subjugation] [Noun] (Suru)
1. To be under the control of another and do as they say. Subservience. 'A colony that is subservient to its mother country.'
2. A henchman. A subordinate. A follower.
When you are completely caught up in the ego's program, you cannot help yourself without awareness and insight. When we see such people, we say they are 'driven' by greed, or hatred, fear, addiction, or pride. It is a mistake to bring in hypotheses or moral stances at such times and point out, 'That person should do this.'In reality, that is completely missing the point. Acting unconsciously is just as the words imply, and'sin' merely represents the limits of the evolution of consciousness. Both Buddha and Jesus called this limit 'ignorance.'Just as the evolution of consciousness is expressed in a gradient, some people are further along the path than others. Once you understand this simple fact, forgiveness and compassion replace anger, fear, hatred, and blame. When we forgive and accept ourselves, we can naturally forgive others.
[Q: Doesn't accepting limitations invite sins such as a lack of ethics or misconduct?]
A:Forgiving and having compassion is not the same as approving.
Explanation of 'Zenin' [Approval]
[Noun] (Suru) To acknowledge someone's actions or thoughts as good. 'Approve of the other party's attitude.' Opposite of denial.
People in energy fields below 200 are exposed to constant suffering every day. In the Christian tradition,we are taught to pray for sinners. We are also advised to avoid and distance ourselves from non-integrative and negative things ('evil') rather than confronting them.'Sinners' can be seen as unfortunate people whose spiritual growth remains at a primitive stage.
Since this is long, I will stop here for now. Those who have read this are indeed geniuses 111. (When 'indeed genius' is converted into numbers using Kazutama/number spirit, it is 111.)
Once again for review
Once you realize that no one, including yourself, chose to create their ego, you can be freed from that guilt and have more compassion for yourself and others.
Since the word 'ignorance' came up, I looked up Socrates' 'knowledge of ignorance.'
Knowledge of ignorance
A fundamental idea for Socrates' pursuit of truth, which posits that becoming aware of one's own ignorance is the path to true understanding.
Since humans are creatures who forget, let us repeatedly and continuously live to the fullest with the joy of 156 at consciousness level 540, so as not to identify with the animal brain (instinct) = the self (ego) = the thinking mind.
In Kazutama (number spirit), joy is 156. As expected of a genius is 111. I see is 153. That is what it means is 47. Thank you is 117.
