I am participating in Chainer-san's projectfor the
second time♡

An episode that stays in my heart—
last time I wrote about my second daughter—so
this time I will try writing about my eldest daughter😊

"Can I Keep Loving Them?"

After my biological father passed away, I was busy dealing with the
various legacies he left behind
(which were nothing but negative debts, nothing happy at all).
While juggling work, housework, and raising my children,
I was in constant communication with a judicial scrivener
and made many trips to the family court.

One day, after those days had continued for a while,
I accidentally
spoke ill of my biological father and mother
in front of my daughter (the eldest).

My eldest daughter is now 22 years old,
having achieved her dream
of working as a teacher at a special needs school.

Recently, she has become a full-fledged adult
and a reliable person I can consult with,
so perhaps I expected that she would understand my feelings,
or that she would just let my venting slide.

I spoke ill of my biological father and mother
to my eldest daughter while she was home visiting.

At that moment,
my eldest daughter said,
"Hey, Mom, I think Grandpa and Grandma did a lot of terrible things to you.
If it were me, I might not be able to forgive them either.
But, Mom,
to me,
they were very kind
Grandpa and Grandma.
So,
even if you
hate
Grandpa and Grandma,
is it okay if I keep loving them?"

she said.

I was
taken aback.
To think I would speak ill of my own parents in front of my child.
I'm sorry.

I apologized to my eldest daughter and
"Of course!
Please keep loving them forever."I
replied.

Perhaps
there is nothing left for me to teach
my eldest daughter, who has already become a full-fledged adult.

I think she is likely
a lovingand good teacher
at school as well,
a proud parent'sfeeling, and I realized once again that

I learn everything from my childrenon that afternoon.
