I feel like I've leveled up.

I've already returned to Tokyo, but while visiting home,

my son (a college freshman, 18 years old)

said, "I feel like I've leveled up somehow."

What he meant by that is,

having turned 18,

and having become a college student,

the number of "things he can do" has increased.

Being able to vote.

Being able to get a driver's license.

Being able to participate in a full marathon.

My son's first time driving 👇

He's gripping the steering wheel pretty tight! Haha

Since he'll be running in a full marathon soon,

he's training even while visiting home!!

He and my husband will be running together as father and son. 👇

I'll wait until I'm 20 to enjoy my favorite horse racing (￣▽￣)💚 lol

For my son,

growing up means

that the number of things he 'can do' increases,

that he's leveling up,

I suppose.

'Keep leveling up from here on out

and be good to your mom! lol'

I told my son, but remembering his adorable childhood,

I feel a little lonely 💦
