Happiness White Paper. ~Knowing the Love of Sumiyo Takami.~
In the town of note, if you mention a "kind person," many people will likely think of Sumiyo-san. If there is anyone who does not know Sumiyo-san, I would like you to first read the articles in the 'Everyone is Kind 💕 Series'.

Also, when it comes to Sumiyo-san, her ikebana articles are something I would like to recommend without fail. I feel that my heart is cleansed by the dignified flowers that seem to express Sumiyo-san's way of life.

Sumiyo-san, who shares such charming notes, is a writer by profession. Today, I would like to write about
"Happiness White Paper" from among Sumiyo-san's books.
I read it between the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023.
Actually, it is a book with content that I wanted to read all at once, but since my children were home for the holidays, I had to read it at a slow pace.
However, as a result, it became the last book I read in 2022 and the first book I read in 2023, so I am grateful for that timing.

I was drawn in from the prologue, and even in those few pages, I could feel Sumiyo-san's kindness.
People endure the cold winter and know the joy of spring; they endure the hot summer and feel the comfort of the cool autumn. Life is the same.
Every morning, if you see the sun rise, breathe in the delicious air, look at the trees and flowers, and listen to the chirping of the small birds, you can be moved by the beauty of this world.
Just with these two passages, she conveys that everyone, equally, can be happy. Whether you are poor, have a chronic illness, or are bad at studying, it has nothing to do with it; the seasons come around to everyone the same way, and even the painful, long nights will eventually end and morning will come. Everything is equal.
Therefore, no matter how cold the winter is now, or how desperate the night is now, I felt as if Sumiyo-san was telling me, "It's okay."

In the main text, 39 theories to enrich life are written. I would like to introduce
three impressive chapters.
"Disciplining"
In this chapter, there was a sentence that said, disorder in language is disorder in the heart, and I was struck by it. Following that, a sentence saying, using correct and beautiful Japanese keeps the heart correct. I have always told my husband and children, "It is almost never rude to be too polite in your dress and language, so when in doubt, choose the polite option." But what about me on note lately? Is my language disordered? Am I expressing too much of my heart's disorder through my words?
I felt I wanted to properly "discipline" myself.

Choosing joy, not profit or loss
A few days ago, I participated in a project by Tomoka Matsushita 🌈 Supporting you with words 🍀Gratitude🍀-san called "What words are you happy to be told?." At that time, I introduced the word "thank you."
① Thank you.
It's a cliché, but I really am happy to hear the word "thank you."
And, I like not only being told it, but also saying it.
The comment section of note is a wonderful place because you can see many "thank yous."
I want to continue to be told "thank you," and I want to say "thank you" many times more than I am told (*´艸`*)♡
Of course, it has been a word I have loved for a long time, but I think it is also because these words from Sumiyo-san's book remained in my heart.
"Thank you" is a very beautiful word, and it is an important word that I want to keep in mind to say every day, but being told "thank you" by someone else fills the heart even more and makes the heart beautiful.

It's okay to be negative. Just as you are.
I usually try not to write negative content in my regular posts, but in a space called Rainbow Street 🌈, I sometimes write dark essays filled with jealousy and envy. Actually, this is also my first attempt at a paid article, and before posting, I sometimes wondered, "Is this content too negative?" However, in her book, Sumiyo-san writes,"If you force yourself to pretend to be positive, it will lead to trouble,"and concludes with,"Even if you are negative, it is okay to be just as you are."
"It's okay to be negative. Just as you are."These are words that give me courage.

Get well soon, tomorrow
This page is packed with my favorite essays published in newspapers 💕
I love heartwarming stories submitted by readers to newspapers, magazines, and free papers. 🥰 So, with that feeling, sometimes I think, 'I see, there's that way of looking at things too,' sometimes I chuckle, and sometimes I'm moved. In that way, I finished reading this all at once.
"White Blouse," "Guide Dog," and "Cosmos"are my favorites, and I find myself rereading them again today.

To Sumiyo Takami-san
Sumiyo-san, it was difficult to write a review without spoilers, so I have excerpted parts of it. I'm sorry. 💦
Now that I've finished reading, the words I want to convey to you, Sumiyo-san, are, as expected, "Thank you."
The reason is, although it may be an event you don't want to remember, please let me write about it.
(I will accept your scolding, so please contact me via a private tool if that happens 💦)
The day you left note because of comments filled with nothing but malice. I felt sad and lonely, thinking that perhaps I would no longer have a connection with you, but I had resigned myself, thinking, "Because such an event happened, it is inevitable that you would leave the town of note."
But you came back! Even kinder and even stronger! And you are posting articles filled with kindness just as before. The words you wrote in the chapter "No Matter What Happens, Don't Give Up" touch my heart once again now.
I said that life is a journey. There will be painful and difficult times, and there will be times when you are overcome with sadness. However, beyond that suffering and sadness, there is always love and light. Those who are suffering now may not be able to believe it, but this is true.
The happiness that Sumiyo-san embodies.
Yes, we can become happy at any time.
Sumiyo-san, thank you so much for teaching me about the love and light that exist beyond suffering and sadness.
Please continue to be friends with me.
