✨And Then There Were Two✨ ~Sharing Changes in Our Daily Life~🌈🌈🌈
I received this comment from Chiyo-san♡♡♡
“Regarding Yuzu-san's comment,
I was thinking... is life as a couple
lonely after the children have left the nest?
Also, the amount of food you cook
must decrease since it's just for two people.
I would love to read about
those kinds of changes in life.☺️”
That's right, life after the children have left.
Since Chiyo-san mentioned it,
I felt like writing about it too,
so today's post is about “changes in life”✨
First of all, one of my morning routines,
“making bento boxes,” is gone.

Since my husband often works night shifts,
I no longer have to wake up early
to make a bento
just for myself,
and I now use that time
as part of my morning routine
to practice my writing.

For lunch,
I take the leftover rice🍚 from the day before,
and ochazuke is plenty💦

I used to do laundry 2-3 times a day, sometimes 4 on busy days, but
now, I do it once or twice.

As for cleaning,
since the children's rooms no longer get dirty,
I just give the upstairs hallway and stairs a light mop every morning.
Vacuuming and wipingare enough to do on my days off.
(Since my husband and I spend a lot of time on the first floor,
I clean it as I always have.)

Oh, that's right,
since we have an extra room,
I tried making a study for myself.
I neatly lined up my psychology and aroma books,
and it's a room I can use just the way I like✨
For ZOOM meetups and
Aroma color analysis and such are
done in this room🌈

And then~
I stopped going shopping!
Since our home uses a co-op home delivery service,
eggs, milk, vegetables, preserved foods, and daily necessities are
delivered by the co-op.

Before, my son ate so much,
so I used to go to the supermarket a few times a week to stock up, but
now, I almost never go.

Also, work!
Since I no longer need to take time off or
come home early to match my child's schedule,
I am taking on new work
without worrying about the time.

Hmm... and then,
Speaking of changes,
since I no longer have time to chat with my children,
on days without overtime,
I have started going for walks at night.
Two to three times a week, for 30 minutes to an hour.
Depending on how I feel or my mood that day✨
while listening to my favorite music.

🌈How I spend my days off🌈
I used to participate in PTA activities and craft workshops,
socialize with other moms,
or go out with friends for
lunch,
or visit art museums, but
compounded by the spread of COVID-19,
I have started spending almost all my time at home.
I spend my time reading books and writing manuscripts.

Dinner preparation is now my husband's responsibility~✨
✨Time for the couple✨
Basically, we spend our time together in the living room.
Except for on our days off, we stopped eating breakfast,
and instead,
we take our time
brewing and drinking delicious coffee.
Also, if we both have the same day off,
we go to a big park about 10 minutes away by car,
where my husband goes for a run,
and I go for a walk.
When the seasons change,
we sometimes go together
to look for flowers to plant in our garden bed.
Also, we sometimes look after
our cute niece and play with her.

I mean... it's not really anything worth writing an article about, but
the point is...!!!!
that for me, whose 'hobby = child-rearing',
once that hobby was gone,
this is what my life is like now💦💦💦
Chiyo-san, how is it? lol
Thank you for reading until the end.
