Because I wanted to see the same moon ~ "#IzayoiTanka"

It was only recently that I realized the appeal of tanka; until then, I had always felt uncomfortable with it. In my mind, I associated it with "love," "romance," and "highly poetic elements," so I avoided it. I only participated in the Minna no Haiku Taikai (Everyone's Haiku Tournament) when they called for tanka submissions, and even then, I just tried to make the syllables fit.

However, thanks to Tsuru-sensei and Temari-san, I realized the charm of tanka, and furthermore, through Madonatsu-san's "Katte ni~" (Unofficial~), I learned that it can be enjoyed casually.When I try composing it, unlike haiku, there are no rules about having to include a seasonal word, and I feel it's very free because I can compose based on my own perspective, feelings, and familiar themes.

Today, I will participate in Izayoi Tanka while also making my first post to Utada-so (^^♪

I will compose some autumn-like tanka!

1. Mountain trail, the habit of looking for someone who resembles my late father remains, the third autumn.

( To-zan-do-u na-ki-chi-chi-ni-ni-ta hi-to-sa-ga-su ku-se-no-na-o-ra-zu sa-n-do-me-no-a-ki ) Autumn-like word: Third autumn

My late father's hobby was mountain climbing. He always wore a plaid shirt, a beige vest, and a hat. I can't help but notice elderly men who look like him.

2. 6:00 PM, the sun sets rapidly, my daughter's pickup time is earlier, mother cannot make it in time.

( Go-go-ro-ku-ji tsu-ru-be-o-to-shi-no ko-no-mu-ka-e ji-ka-n-ha-ya-ma-ri ma-ni-a-wa-nu-ha-ha ) Autumn-like word: Tsurube-otoshi (rapid sunset)

When my eldest daughter was in high school, she was followed by a strange man on her way home from school once. We reported it to the police, but I was still worried, so I would go to pick her up after it got dark (to the road where she parted ways with her friends). In the summer, it was still dim even at the official school dismissal time, but as autumn deepens, it gets dark by 6:00 PM. However, I haven't finished work by 6:00 PM, so I can't make it in time for the pickup.

* The meaning of "Tsurube-otoshi" is "autumn sunset."

3. Running up the stairs taking two steps at a time, camera in hand, on a full moon night.

( Ka-i-da-n-wo ni-da-n-to-bi-shi-te ka-ke-a-ga-ru ka-me-ra-ka-ta-te-no ma-n-ge-tsu-no-yo-ru ) Autumn-like word: Full moon

At my voice saying, "You can see a beautiful moon from the (second floor) balcony!", my husband grabbed his camera and ran up the stairs taking two steps at a time. The moment to capture the best shot is surprisingly short.

Yesterday, I listened to the audio broadcast by Madonatsu-san and Noriko-san. I clearly received the audio broadcast love for the Minna no Haiku Taikai from both of you and all the management team. I have been participating by submitting poems since the Apollo Cup, but I have never been a member of the management team. However, I always feel like I am enjoying it together with all the crew members. Participating as much as possible, including pre-events, announcing it in my own articles and tweets, visiting comments, and giving out unofficial awards. Yes, why don't you all get involved in the Minna no Haiku Taikai in your own way, without overdoing it, and freely? The Izayoi Cup includes haiku, tanka, and senryu. First-timers are also very welcome, I believe!
