It's Okay to Complain!
I often hear things like "successful people don't complain" or "people drift away from those who complain" lately.
Complaining is the villain
That seems to be how it's treated in the world. But,
is that really the case?
I want to question this common wisdom.
Let's learn together!💪
The meaning of "complaining"

Kotobanksays thatcomplaining means,
1. Being foolish.
2.Lamenting by saying things that cannot be helped.
In everyday use, the second meaning is more common.
The phrase "things that cannot be helped"
is whatbothers me. Of course, it may include things that cannot be helped, but I think there aremany cases where it is not helpless.
Try recalling the complaints you say or hear. Are they really all things that cannot be helped?
The mindset when complaining

What is your mindset when you complain?
1. Justwanting to say it.
Just wanting to be heard.
Giving up, thinking it cannot be solved. Giving up.
※My wife is this type...
2.Half-given up but actually wanting to solve it.
3. Anyway, feeling dissatisfied but firmly wanting to solve it.
Isn't the so-called"complaining that gets you disliked" just like number 1, "complaining just to say it, with no intention of solving it"?
By the way,I complain a lot. Especiallyat work (lol). In my case, number 3 is common. Number 2 happens too.
For ①, I consider the possibilities so that it becomes ② as much as possible. If it's still hopeless, I decide to forget about it (lol).
The perspective of "venting"

I think venting is completely different depending on where you are looking.

What do you think?
Why not try looking toward the future?
The seeds within "venting"

Venting can also be viewed like this.
Even if it looks rotten on the surface, there are shining seeds buried inside.

Why not try extracting the seeds of resolution and improvement?
Venting listener & solution business

Venting listening has become a business. You can find it if you search online 🔍.
But in this case, most cases are just "listening only". In other words, anyone can do it.
Although it is expressed as "venting listening," there also seems to be a pattern where the reality is counseling.
I see. When you say "counseling," it's a bit hard to get into, but if it's "venting listening," it seems like people might think, "Maybe I'll have someone listen to me for a bit."
By the way,
I said that I "often vent," but I am conscious of making it a "set with a proposed solution" as much as possible.
It is one of my strengths. It might be interesting to use this to try a venting listening & solution service.
Summary

Venting isn't a bad thing.
You can look toward the future and aim for a solution, and
even if it looks bad on the surface, there are surely seeds of brilliance sleeping within it.
Instead of giving up, why not take a step back and think, "Are there any seeds of a solution sleeping here?"
"Hmm, I can't think of anything on my own! Think about it with me!"
For those who say that, Iwould also like to offer a service where we look at the future and worry together.
That's all for today's lesson. Please come back again. 👋
