I tried 'Hand-woven Punk' and it was fun! Lots of collaboration items!
One of the things I wanted to do when I became a textile artist was 'Hand-woven Punk'!
I figured there probably wasn't anyone else in the world weaving punk fashion or kimonos out of hand-woven fabric.
There was a designer I had my eye on, but after being turned down repeatedly for two years, saying it was impossible for now, they finally said 'I'll do it!' and I immediately took the fabric and went to meet them.
And here are the pieces they made for me!

They're cool, right? The designer themselves is well-versed in punk and really understands the key points, so I felt comfortable leaving it to them. They are the current designer for IME!
This was the first installment of 'Hand-woven Punk'!
After that, I went around looking for people on social media who were making cool work, and I found them! 😆
They are an artist from t.n.A.f.t in Wakayama who has been self-teaching themselves to create the most meticulously crafted anarchy shirts.
Naturally, I sent them a DM right away, and they immediately replied with a 'That sounds interesting,' and we still have a great relationship today.
Here are those pieces!

I believe the first thing was the anarchy shirt. I think it must have been difficult to turn kimono-width fabric into a shirt. By the way, the stripe design is also by t.n.A.f.t!
The next thing we collaborated on was wristbands!
He is also a leather craftsman and was making wristbands too (he's very dexterous), so one day I suggested, 'Could you make a wristband using hand-woven fabric on the outside?'
He said, 'I can do that. That's interesting!'
We started with prototypes and then sold them as products.
The red plaid one was for R×Y×O from coldrain, and I designed the fabric while talking with R×Y×O. This led to my ongoing relationship with R×Y×O today.
Here are some of the wristbands we produced!

It looked incredibly cool!
I keep the red plaid one for myself to wear.
I also made more bum flaps. I made four patterns. This plaid one is the best seller!

We really did a lot of things, didn't we!
Even though we live far apart, it was so much fun visiting each other's exhibitions! Let's do it again when we come up with good ideas.
The next one was a collaboration with WonderFabric.
The baseball caps made with kimono fabric were incredibly cool, so I sent a DM as usual, and they readily agreed, saying, 'That's interesting, let's do it!'

They were already technically solid, so I sent the fabric I had on hand, and it came back as the best baseball cap.
Actually, it turns out WonderFabric and R×Y×O already knew each other (what an amazing coincidence😱), so one day we decided to make an R×Y×O model. The image above is what we came up with while talking to R×Y×O, who loves red plaid! (The brim was requested to be synthetic leather, so it's not fabric.)
We recently made berets!

I'm a fan, so I'm having a blast!
Finally, I received a collaboration request from Nippon Kyokuto Boeki, so I provided the fabric and we made Q-ties!

I have nothing but gratitude for IME, t.n.A.f.t, WonderFabric, and Nippon Kyokuto Boeki!
I still want to work with you all, so I'll probably ask for your help again when something exciting comes up.
We put up the banner 'Hand-woven Punk' and kept saying, 'This is a world first, right?' while we made them lol.
These collaborations were strongly positioned as works of art!
Oh, I forgot🤭
I was weaving a kimono with an Elliott Clan pattern.
When you think of punk plaid, this is the one, right!

That's all!
