[Grandpa's Various Thoughts] I'm curious about Momomaro-san!?
Do you know Momomaro-san?
Grandpa loves Momomaro-san's notes.
Her thought process is on par with Yusuke Narita's—it's on another dimension. She is very particular about her writing style, and while she doesn't seem satisfied with her own work, I am personally impressed by her logic (logical development).
Her sensibilities and perspective of thought are enviable, and I find myself empathizing with them.
For example, this post👇
I am first drawn in by the expression "Gentle Neglect State" in the title. "Neglect State" instead of "Rule of Law State" What a sense for words.
When the same act is done without expectation of reward,
If person A, who has good intentions, does it, it's "kind"
If person B, whom you dislike, does it, it's "meddlesome, heavy, or cold"
If a delinquent does it, it's "kind"
If a serious person does it, it's "expected"
In the end, for "matters that are not morally or ethically wrong,"
kindness is determined not by the act, but by "who" does it
This logic, I really empathize with it!?
Furthermore, this sense of thought👇
Even when being kind without ulterior motives,
why do the people in trouble choose who they accept it from?
And
why is the person who showed kindness often criticized?
Because she articulates her thoughts with this sensibility, Momomaro-san's writing is truly interesting.
Don't you all have experiences that come to mind regarding the content of the article above?
The awkwardness when you stand up to offer your seat, saying "Please, have a seat," only to be refused with "I'm fine."
If you get scolded with "I'm not that old," there's no coming back from that.
Once you experience things like this a few times, it becomes hard to speak up, doesn't it?

The other day, Hirotada Ototake of "No One's Perfect" appeared as a guest on Yusuke Narita's Re:Hack and shared an interesting story.
Apparently, London doesn't have as many elevators in its stations as Tokyo. But, there are far more people who go out in wheelchairs than in Tokyo.
For example, if you get off at the next station, you are closer to your destination, but there is no elevator, while the station after that has an elevator but takes 15 minutes longer to reach your destination.
In such cases, Japanese wheelchair users apparently go to the station after the next, taking the extra 15 minutes to reach their destination.
People in London get off at the nearest station without an elevator, go to the stairs in their wheelchair, and just sit there in front of the stairs. Then, people gather one after another and carry the wheelchair down the stairs for them. It's truly natural.
In Japan, it seems people get slammed on social media with comments like, 'Why would you come here in a wheelchair?' or 'This station doesn't have an elevator, don't you have any common sense?'
Ototake-san explained these two extremes not as good or bad, but as follows: 'It's because Japanese people aren't used to people with disabilities' and 'It's because Japanese people don't want to be a burden to others.'
In the end, it's a result of 'education,' so it can't be helped unless the way we approach education changes. I think Japan would change if we did the same thing as the UK, where students with and without disabilities are educated in the same classrooms.
Even when offering selfless kindness to someone in need,'Japanese people who screen the kindness they receive'—couldn't Momomaro-san's logic about this also be partly caused by the Japanese education system?
Many people might say, 'Even if you talk about education, it's no use just asking parents and teachers,' but parents themselves can't necessarily have experiences like Ototake-san's, and parents aren't omnipotent either. That's why I think 'school education' is extremely important, as it also serves as education for parents through their children!? Children know more about things like the SDGs than their parents do, you know.
That was a bit of a digression.

Momomaro-san's writing style, it somehow reminds me of this person👇?
Could it be 'Umeko-san,' who suddenly disappeared from the world of note!?
Momomaro-san's profile says, 'I am not someone worth introducing,' so I had decided to stop unnecessary prying, but then I discovered this article!?
But well, I'll stop the unnecessary prying and just quietly continue to be a fan of 'Momomaro-san'!?

Usually, on Saturdays and Sundays, I post 'Grandpa Saw It!' in two parts, but since yesterday's topic (0-yen solar) didn't have enough volume for two parts, I delivered 'Grandpa's Odds and Ends' today.
