[Grandpa's Grumbling] The Dilemma of Getting Stuck in a Rut!?
(Grandpa) That's amazing, you've gotten so good at the piano! 😊
*This is a conversation I had after coming home, surprised by my grandchild who found an electronic piano at the Makuhari Aeon Mall and played it for me!
(Grandchild) I have to practice moving my fingers every day. Mom told me to do stretches too, so I'll do those later.
(Grandpa) That's for your rhythmic gymnastics, right?
(Grandchild) Yeah, like this!
*When she arches her head back, her head touches the soles of her feet. How flexible she is!
(Grandpa) That's incredible. I guess daily routines are important.

However, when you continue something every day, whether it's lessons or this "note" platform, the battle against the rut that sprouts within your own heart begins.
Note is a place for your own writing, in other words, a place for content creation and publication.
It's more encouraging to have a large number of guests (followers) coming to your recital, and it's more motivating to get more applause (number of likes).
When reading note, I often see the term "like limit".
Maybe I'm not used to social media, or maybe I read articles slowly, but because of my personality, I feel bad if I don't read the whole article before hitting "like," so the amount of likes I can give in a day is limited.
That's why I've never experienced a like limit before.
If I read content and feel a connection, I leave a comment, and if I do that, I can't hit enough "likes" to trigger a like limit.
So, the current amount is just right for the amount of content I read, listen to, and comment on in a day, and since that's all the time I have for note in a day, I'm actually in a very comfortable state right now.
However, there is a dilemma that because I'm at my limit with my current note reading volume, my encounters with new creators have decreased recently.
The fact that I'm starting to think about things like this means that the rut has already begun, doesn't it?
Giving back a "like" without reading the article.
Is it a sense of guilt regarding that, or am I overthinking it? I wonder if there's something I need to shed in order to break out of this rut?
Is worrying about things like that what it means to be in a rut?
There are times when I haven't had the time to read the articles of those who have kindly read my articles and clicked 'Like' for me, so I haven't been able to return the 'Like'. I am very sorry.
Even so, with my current style, I really don't have the time to read them, do I?
Since the start of this year, I've decided to accept that, and I'm thinking of challenging myself to spend a little time wandering around note to find new creators.I think I'll give it a try.
And I vaguely think that I want to try breaking out of my rut so that people don't get tired of my own posts.

(Grandchild) Grandpa, why don't you try it too?
(Grandpa) My body is so stiff, there's no way I can bend that far.
(Grandchild) Hurry up, come over here and try it!?
(Grandpa) How's this?
(Grandchild) Watch me! It's like this.
*Grandpa played a part in helping his grandchild break out of their stretching routine rut. Oh boy, what can I say.
Thank you for reading until the end.
