[Whispers of Society] Deforestation is not stopping!

The above was a post featuring the forest report "FRA2020" (Global Forest Resources Assessments Main Report 2020) from the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations).
The latest version "FRA2025" of the forest resources survey report, which is updated every five years, has been published.
The UN's efforts to prevent global warming, which began at the Earth Summit in Rio, Brazil in 1992, have accumulated over 30 years of history, passing from the Kyoto Protocol to the 2015 Paris Agreement. However, with the US withdrawing in 2025, not only has the momentum for CO2 emission reduction faded, but global deforestation is not stopping.
The pace of deforestation due to logging has slowed in 2015-2025 compared to 1990-2000 and 2000-2015, but what is unforgivable is that the pace of forest expansion has dropped since the 2015 Paris Agreement.
Greedy people may appear to have been actively working on CO2 emission reduction in accordance with international rules such as the GHG Protocol, but in reality, they have failed to correctly grasp the economic value of forests and turned reforestation into an unprofitable charity activity.
We, humanity, must pay the price for this in the form of accelerated warming, forest degradation, increased wildfires, and furthermore, the loss of biodiversity.
It might be surprising to you, but the reason forests in Asia are increasing is largely due to China's contribution.
As for Japan, since it is not profitable to replant forests after logging, they are covering them with solar panels or leaving them unplanted under the name of natural regeneration.Therefore, unlike China, the reforestation area is decreasing.It's pathetic, isn't it?
In any case, it was a disappointing report.
The old media won't introduce any of this important information, will they?
