Try saying 'heatstroke' slowly 🤣 and, graduation ceremony 😭
Good morning, everyone🌞 This is Hikaru, the number magician (。・ω・。)ノ
This time, it's been a while since I've talked about my nieces👧👧
I was told this the other day when I was on Zoom with my nieces.
“Hii-chan (me), try saying 'heatstroke' veeery slowly!”
At first, I didn't know what they meant, so I said, “Ne-tchu-u-sho-u,” but my two nieces looked at me like, “Why don't you get it!?”🤣
Even after changing the tempo a few times, it wasn't the way they were expecting me to say it💦
Seeing that, my sister said, “Hikaru! If you pause after 'net', you'll get it!”
Once she said that, I finally understood the answer😁
The two of them wanted me to say
“Net, chuu shiyo (Hey, let's kiss)💗”
to them😊
My nieces laughed out loud, saying
“Hii-chan, you're really hopeless🤣”
at me.
They even added
“You won't get a Nobel Prize like that!”
to drive the point home🤣
In my heart, I thought, “It's not a Nobel Prize, though”
but since it's hard to explain, I just let it be a Nobel Prize for the moment🤣
Apparently, “Try saying 'heatstroke' slowly!” is trending in kindergarten right now.
I don't know where this topic spread from, but there are trends in the children's world too, aren't there?
I thought kids these days are amazing😲
Have you heard “Try saying 'heatstroke' slowly!” from your children too?
Have you ever been told that?

As for another topic, my older niece said something like this to me.
“My graduation ceremony is on the 15th, so Hee-chan, you should come see it too!”
I really want to go see the graduation ceremony, too.
But I still have school, so I can't go.
“Hee-chan really wants to go see it too, but I still have school so I can't go. I'm sorry, Aoi 😭”
That was all I could manage to say.
When my niece heard that, she looked like she was about to cry...
Seeing that, I couldn't help but feel like crying too 🥺
“Instead, Yu-chan (my husband) should be able to go see it, so please forgive me for that.”
When I told her that,
“Then, it's a promise!”
she said, holding out her pinky finger, and we did a (pretend) pinky swear through the screen.
I'm glad she cheered up after that.
At times like this, it's really frustrating, or rather, lonely not being nearby 🥲
I'm sure she'll send me photos later, so I'm looking forward to that 😊
This time, it was two topics about my niece.
