Under the Clear Green Sky
As if dragging the unpleasant situation from yesterday afternoon along with me, that object even appeared in my dreams.
For some reason, there was a massive amount of those croquettes in front of me, and a woman I had absolutely no memory of was urging me to eat them like a torrent, saying she had made so many, and when I ran away in terror, I suddenly fell somewhere.
Thanks to that, I woke up once, and when I went back to sleep and woke up again, it was almost 9 o'clock.
Today in Tokyo, it was perfectly clear.
I brewed coffee with the medium-roast Colombian beans I had roasted just yesterday, toasted bread, spread it with summer orange jam, ate it in a dash, and headed out.
─I can't stand it unless I get an exorcism soon.
Despite that resolution, the place I arrived at was a temple.
There was no god at the temple, and naturally, all I saw were people wearing mourning clothes.
I started to get a rather ominous feeling.
When you say "Great Buddha," the ones that come to mind are the Great Buddha of Nara, and in the Kanto region, the Great Buddha of Kamakura.
I can't really think of any others, but the third largest Great Buddha after those two is located on the outskirts of Itabashi, Tokyo.
However, even saying it's the third largest is conditional on it being made of bronze and sitting down.
There are many other 100-meter-class Buddha statues in the country made of reinforced concrete, often called something-or-other Kannon.
Compared to those, it's only the umpteenth largest.
Well, since it's Nara, Kamakura, and then Itabashi, I thought they should promote it a bit better, so I went to "Joren-ji" Temple on the outskirts of Itabashi, which is a bit far, to see the Great Buddha.
Since it's the third largest, I figured it would do something for me.

I made a wish for my great desire to be fulfilled, although it was written in small letters, and since an exorcism should make it come true, I asked the Great Buddha, "Please, I beg you, never let that object come near me ever again."
After I finished asking, I looked up, and there was no change at all, no movement, as if to say "I don't know anything about that," with a completely stony face, leaving me wondering if it would really be okay.
After I finished asking, I walked around to the back of the Great Buddha.
Then, as if guided, I came across something called the "Demon of Patience."
"Don't ask for such trivial things, just be patient through the end of October."
That was the final blow from the demon.
Or so it felt.

In the end, despite going all that way, I didn't achieve any results, and I just walked the 30 minutes back to the nearest station.
