Small but Certain Happiness | Smooth-Gliding Chair Leg Covers
In our single-story home renovated in March 2023, we are a couple in our 40s in our third year of marriage, living with our baby. The house is built using Aichi cedar and German paint that is safe for the human body, and it is designed with sufficient insulation and storage. I occasionally write about our home in this magazine.
While our household is busy with baby care, I want to make sure we can always spend our time comfortably at home. I finally purchased the chair leg covers I had been curious about for a long time.
The trouble with chair leg covers
I had been using felt stickers as chair leg covers, but they didn't slide well on the floor. I think it's because the felt fabric and its adhesive part collect a lot of dust and hair. They also looked dirty, and whenever we had guests, I would always turn the chairs upside down to remove the debris. That task was extremely tedious.

Trying on the purchased chair leg covers
They are made of silicone, and the size is about that of a 10-yen coin.

To attach them, you just insert the pointed pin on the back. The included stickers have red dots, and by applying these, you can pre-determine where to insert the pins.

Here are the chair leg covers I purchased
Once I attached them, I found that I could slide the chairs across the floor much more easily than I had imagined, and sitting in the chairs has become more enjoyable than before. Especially when I'm busy, being able to solve these kinds of small problems makes me feel happy. I attached them to two chairs this time. I would like to attach them to the other chairs as well.
