Summer Manual Project #AkariTakeuchiAdventCalendar Call for Articles and Fan Art

Following the connection made by featuring Asari-san's article in the summary post for Akari Takeuchi's calligraphy exhibition "Koko Buyo," Asari-san approached me with a proposal: "Can we do something together as fan content creators for Akari Takeuchi's graduation?" and asked for my thoughts.

The first thing that came to mind was the "I want more people to read Hello! Project blogs! Hello Wota Blog Advent Calendar 2022" organized by Yuzuki Log, in which both Asari-san and I participated.

However, Akari Takeuchi's graduation concert is on June 21st, and there is no advent calendar interface available for a "summer Christmas" event held six months off-schedule. So, I thought about whether it might be possible to create a manual advent calendar project by combining existing web services. In other words:

1. Use a Google Spreadsheet for participants to register their planned posts.
2. Use the note heading feature to compile the calendar.

With this method, we can incorporate not only articles but also fan art submitted by everyone into the calendar simultaneously. An example is shown below.

I believe this method allows headings to be displayed at the top, fulfilling the indexing function of a "calendar." By updating the note summary article as we go, I think we can create a substitute for an advent calendar.

With that in mind, we are calling for articles and fan art for #AkariTakeuchiAdventCalendar according to the following guidelines.

Guidelines

The Advent Calendar is divided into “Writing” and “Fan Art”.

● For writing, please provide a substantial amount of content.
※※ For those who think, “I want to write something, but I don’t have my own blog account!”, we have set up a text form where you can enter a substantial piece of writing, so you are welcome to participate that way.

● For fan art, please submit your own work.
(Illustrations, calligraphy, handicrafts, tanka, haiku, paper cutting, etc...)
　Of course, beyond these, we are waiting for your passionate desire to express Akari Takeuchi through your work!!.

　In any case, as long as it relates to Akari Takeuchi, anything is OK!
　 Our watchword is “Just don’t forget the warmth!”

💙 The submitted writing and fan art will be compiled on note in sequence.

Furthermore, regarding other important notes:

① Basically, it is first-come, first-served for your preferred date, limited to one person per day.

② If, for various reasons, your work is not ready by the scheduled date, that is absolutely no problem. Please contact us here by that day. [Asari Twitter @asari_sg0 ]

Once the work is completed at a later date, if you provide the link, we will insert it into the original scheduled date slot. Please, by all means, do not put yourself through a death march to meet the deadline.

However, please note that if you are going to be late and do not contact us by the day of, it will be considered a cancellation.

③ Cancellations of registration are perfectly fine as long as they are made by the day before. If it is already the day of, as mentioned above, please do not worry about the deadline and just publish it whenever you are able.

④ Conversely, for those who feel, “I can’t convey my thoughts in just one post! I want to register a second time!” or those who suddenly feel the urge to jump in, please summon the courage to jump in immediately for any day that has no registrant after 12:00 AM on the day.

⑤ As a rule, the writing and fan art you register should be new work, but for those who feel, “I really want to etch this work into this project” or “I want to participate but don’t have the capacity to create something new,” we will also accept registration with already written/drawn works.

⑥ We are waiting for participation from a wide range of people, not just those who support Akari Takeuchi or ANGERME above all else, but also those who support other members or other groups. Since many people who support Akari Takeuchi have intense feelings and are highly expressive, others might hesitate to participate, but this project also has the purpose of etching what the great presence of Akari Takeuchi left behind in Hello! Project. We would be happy if as diverse and broad a range of people as possible could participate.

⑦ In connection with that, for blog posts, we highly welcome themes like “Akari Takeuchi within ANGERME” or “Ayumi Ishida and Akari Takeuchi,” and for fan art, two-shots or group shots with other members. Akari Takeuchi has wide friendships not only within ANGERME, such as “Takerina,” “Takelera,” and “Takerika,” but also within Hello! Project, such as Karin Miyamoto, Ayumi Ishida, and Yumeno Kishimoto, and is deeply trusted by people like Reina Inoue and Marin Fukuda. We would like to widely solicit works with themes such as “Your favorite member or group and Akari Takeuchi”.
