Keep your dreams close and stay HAPPY
Have you ever felt the weight or distance of a dream's door and decided to keep your distance?
I have.
My 5-year-old son loves trains. 🚄
His current dreams are "to ride the Shinkansen" and "to become a train driver."

"Alright, let's ride the Shinkansen this year!"
Even though I decided that, various voices kept popping into our adult heads.
"Tokyo Station is huge, will he be able to walk to our destination?"
"Will he get bored during the two-hour Shinkansen ride?"
"Fares have gone up, too..."
"Can we coordinate our time off?"
But I decide for myself how to spend money when it really counts.
So, I spent the money happily and was able to open the door to his dream with ease.
So, what did I do???
The answer was very simple.
I committed to the act of "riding the Shinkansen" itself.
Our destination was Nagaoka Station.
A trip of just 20 minutes one way from Niigata.
Even so, he gazed out the window lovingly, his eyes sparkling at the speed of the Shinkansen, and he was completely satisfied. 👀✨✨✨
I discovered an interesting "gap" here.
• Child's wish: "I want to ride the Shinkansen!"
• Parent's assumption: "We have to take the Shinkansen and go on a family trip."
This difference 🤭 is exactly what makes the door to dreams feel so heavy—haha.
"If we're going to go, we might as well..." or "Let's go someday" means you never know when it will happen.
But by narrowing down the goal and making it happen in a "form possible right now."
With just this, a dream can become reality so easily.
This isn't necessarily the only right answer.
But just knowing that "there are other options like this" made my heart feel much lighter.
I realized that I, too, had "unfinished dreams" in my long life that would appear, fade away, and eventually be forgotten.
Committing to what you want to do and making them come true one by one.
That is also a wonderful "power to make dreams come true."
When my life ends.
Instead of regretting, "I wanted to do this, I wanted to do that,"
If I can smile and count, "I was able to do this! I was able to make that come true!"
I believe that kind of life is true HAPPINESS.
