Aim for it! New Farmer 30 | Agriculture x Outdoor is a Great Match!
Individual farmers inevitably have limits on production volume, and agricultural production alone cannot compete with large-scale agricultural management.
That is why the concept of multiplication, such as Agriculture x XX becomes necessary.
Through XX, I want to come up with ways to draw out the appeal that enhances the value of my own farming, agricultural products, and goods.
There was a Voicy broadcast that provided a hint for this.
It is the program by Miyachin, a former salaryman turned apple farmer who migrated, on the Voicy channel 'Apples, Appetite, and Me'.
This time, the episode was titled 'Outdoor and Agriculture are a Perfect Match'.
Miyachin, who is active with the concept of 'wanting to deliver delicious apples to the outdoor scene,' passionately shared his thoughts after participating in an outdoor event.
Outdoor lovers who adore the outdoors truly love nature.
For the agricultural products eaten by such people, it is not just about having them eat it because it is simply delicious; they can also find the agriculture itself interesting or fun.
I realized that there are many people who can focus on the person and enjoy it, and who can enjoy it deliciously, including the nature aspect.
By having such people eat them, I thought it might lead to further development in the future of agriculture and convey the value of agriculture even more, so I started these activities with the desire to have people who love the outdoor scene enjoy these apples and fruits.
That is incredibly interesting!
Indeed, it is clear that Agriculture x Outdoor can draw out and enhance the value of apples.
For example, wouldn't it be incredibly fun to pitch a tent in a field, experience harvesting, and cook outdoor meals using freshly picked crops!?
Buying at a retail store and cooking at home is certainly fine, but adding the value of harvesting, outdoor cooking, and camping will surely make it feel even more delicious and be etched in memory as an irreplaceable experience.
It is no exaggeration to say that agriculture itself is right in the middle of the outdoors, dealing with nature. Since I am planning to start farming because I admire such things, it might be natural that agriculture and the outdoors are a good match.
However, I felt that by shining a spotlight on that, the value of what is taken for granted in my own farming business and the agricultural products produced could be enhanced.
I will add this to one of my goals.
