[#Weekly Short-Short Note] Theme: Half of Setsubun is Made of Kindness
Chomen Town, protected by the Reiwa era's all-purpose hero Honekawa Sujiemon, is home to many non-human beings. Because it is the happiest town in Japan, non-humans eventually came to live there as well.
Humans and non-humans alike live happily and equally in Sujiemon's town, which is filled with compassion. Among them were demons.
They usually spend their time happily getting along with humans, but only during the Setsubun season do they wander the town with faces of fury. Because they are so happy the rest of the time, they play the villain to show their gratitude.
They suddenly appear before the townspeople and shout, "Grrr!"
Then, the townspeople must throw beans at them with all their might.
The slogan for Setsubun is this.
Half of Setsubun is made of kindness
That also included consideration for the demons who volunteered to play the villain.
"Even so, it pains our hearts!"
Sujiemon nodded quietly at the townspeople's plea and soared into the air.
Whoosh, spin, flutter, thud!
Using a secret technique, he summoned all the beans in Chomen Town and spun at high speed in the air.
Pitter-patter~
Beans rained down equally on humans and non-humans alike, and everyone picked them up together in harmony.
In Chomen Town, Setsubun went from being half kindness to entirely kindness.

I have started writing "Recommended Reviews" on Kakuyomu. My review style is to "read everything before posting a review." The reader selection period is until the morning of the 9th. I wrote reviews for two works today.
Writing reviews is fun. I find myself crying and smiling while I write them.
But the support period for Kakuyomu Con 11 ends on February 9th, right? If I want to support many works, I'm worried that two reviews a day might be too slow.
Should I read one chapter, post a review and a star, and then read the rest of the chapters at lightning speed? I'm not used to participating in contests yet, so as someone who likes to savor a work, I'm conflicted.
I'll aim for lots of reviews tomorrow too! But honestly, everyone's work is so interesting. I wonder if the judges are struggling while they make their selections too?
My Kakuyomu Con 11 entry, "Only Beautiful Things," has dropped in the rankings. I apologize for being noisy, but please let me post this just in case. It's only until February 9th. Am I being too pushy? I am truly sorry. 💦
