Hasoya-m's Wild Cooking: Can You Crush a Steamed Meat Bun? (With 3-Panel Manga)
How do you eat your steamed meat buns? Microwave them? Use a steamer? Just take a bite of one from the convenience store?
No matter how I get my hands on a meat bun, I always crush it before eating it.
3-Panel Manga: Monster-chan's Snack Ordeal

No, that's wrong! It's not like that!
I use this to crush it:

Grill it in a preheated hot sandwich maker for one minute on each side.

If you have a hot sandwich maker, please give this a try. You'll discover a new charm to steamed meat buns. Just crushing and grilling it—why is it so delicious? I've become hooked on it. It was an eye-opening experience that just changing the texture could make it taste this good.
One minute per side is just a guideline. Grill it over low heat so the flames don't touch the hot sandwich maker. If the flames touch it even a little, there's a risk of it burning black. Open the hot sandwich maker, and if it's not browned enough, just extend the time a little bit.
When I first learned this 'crush and grill' way of eating meat buns, I spread butter on both the top and bottom of the hot sandwich maker, but it was a mess because the butter kept dripping when I closed it. It's easier to sandwich if you spread it only on the bottom plate and the top of the meat bun.
Try challenging yourself to crush a meat bun this winter!
