[Full Support #CreativeAwardImpressions] Enjoy the seriousness of a grown man!
Today, I will be writing my impressions of "Kekeke no Toshiro" by Love the PTA Toshi Inuzuka.
I am a fan of Shigeru Mizuki. Because of that, I jumped at this the moment I saw the title.
It's a story about yokai, right? I want to read it, I want to read it!
I started reading with that lighthearted feeling, but I never imagined it would become a grand epic continuing into a second part. However, while keeping that lighthearted feeling, I also had expectations. That is because Toshi is someone who never forgets a sincere attitude toward writing.
Even in the tweet above, he mentions having "confidence that you won't get tired of reading it," and indeed, you don't. Toshi's unique narrative style and lightness are fully displayed. The way you find yourself reading while involuntarily making retorts is a characteristic unique to Toshi.
However, the amazing thing about Toshi is that the story doesn't end as one that only contains lightness. Based on a certain classic piece of literature, it also depicts heavy content, including life and death. I felt a slight shock when my favorite character passed away.
But even so, I keep reading. Because it's Toshi, I'm sure there will be a surprising resurrection or a life in a different form depicted!
As a modern fantasy, the characters are people with supernatural abilities, and surprising settings are prepared. Even though it's easy to read, it's packed with satisfying background details that are revealed little by little as the story progresses.
If it were just aiming for laughs or a light supernatural story, it wouldn't be able to be serialized for this long. Perhaps the story continues for so long precisely because it is packed with content.
The story has now begun its "Second Part."
What is Kekeke?
Can Toshiro save humanity and the world?
While wrapped in the laughter unique to Toshi, I am looking forward to everything being revealed. Since it's interesting, I think I'm fine with not knowing for a while. Because if I find out, "Kekeke no Toshiro" will end.
This is a novel born from a grown man enjoying and playing with writing in the world of note to his heart's content.

Because I took a break from note from April to May, I haven't caught up with "Kekeke-den: New Genesis." I will definitely read it!
