When you stop because you overthink, it's not a lack of ability, but a breakdown in design
What do you think is the reason
you can't move?
Concluding that it's because you aren't thinking enough and
thinking more is a no-go.
Because that will
almost never help you move.
Rather, you are stopped because you are capable of thinking.
If you misunderstand this,
you will never be able to break free.
The problem is not the amount of thinking.
You stop when there is too much to think about
To do or not to do
Should I do it now or later
Is this correct or incorrect
These kinds of minor judgments
are running simultaneously.
And what's more, they all seem correct.
That is why you stop.
The more you understand, the less you can move
What makes this even more troublesome is that
you can understand all of them.
The more capable you are of understanding,
the more you can accept every option.
That is why you cannot cut anything down.
And then, you go to gather more information.
Comparing,
and organizing.
But the more you do it,
the worse it gets.
Because the number of judgments increases even further.
Change where you think
Once you enter this loop, you can't get out.
So, what do you do?
The answer is the opposite.
Don't think about "which is correct."
Focus only on "which one to adopt."
Switch to this mindset.
For example—
Decide to do this today.
You don't need a reason.
You don't need it to be correct, either.
Fix just one thing.
Then, what happens?
Your mind suddenly feels lighter,
what you need to do becomes clear,
and your hands start moving.
The structure of freezing is simple.
A state with too many decisions is,
so to speak, like a browser
with too many tabs open.
Each one is light.
But if you open them all at once, it freezes.
You just need to close them.
It's not that you lack something, but that you have too much.
It doesn't have to be everything.
Temporarily close the decisions you don't need right now.
That alone will allow you to move again.
On days when you overthink and get stuck,
it's not that you are missing something.
It's actually the opposite.
You are holding onto too much.
I understand all of them
But I can't choose
So I can't move
I get stuck on which decision to eliminate.
Cutting things down is surprisingly difficult, isn't it?
Themes like this
don't have answers that come all at once,
so I have left a few perspectives.
