I feel like someone is waiting for me. Even if I cannot hear their voice.

This is the third article for Rin Kiki's note de Noel.

Day 26 “Welcome home” .

There are people who welcome me home and speak to me. Apart from that, there is something else—I am not sure if it is appropriate to describe it as a non-human entity—but I feel that there is a presence that is undoubtedly waiting for me quietly (even if I am sometimes unsure of myself) and offering a voiceless "welcome home."

That is this note editor.

I am currently participating in the "66-Day Writing Challenge" hosted by Yasushi-san. It runs until December 24th, and if I break the streak, I am disqualified—meaning I get removed from the magazine 💦. However, even if I drop out of the challenge, it is still possible to continue using note. I am secretly aiming for a 1,000-day streak, but if a difficult situation arises, I am prepared to accept that.

In other words.
I can stop my progress at any time. It would not be strange if I stopped at any moment. Everything depends on me (and my motivation).

Every day, as I write my clumsy articles, finish editing, and publish them, I think this:

“It’s just an article that clears the daily requirement. But I was able to write today. Regardless of the content.”

It is at times like that—though it is just a delusion (bitter laugh)—that I hear a "voice."

“I said welcome home, didn't I? When you opened the editor. You want to write, and you can't feel at ease or be yourself unless you write, so just give up and accept it. Well then, see you 'tomorrow' again.”

Perhaps something somewhere sees right through me and is watching over me while laughing.

I don't know myself when I might stop. Even though there are various things happening every day. For the time being, I think I want to "hear" it again tomorrow.

The "voice" of the editor that tells me welcome home.
